"You fear the dark, but here, it's inescapable. Remember where you are; this is Innistrad, where light only exists to cast shadow. Those shadows are twisting into threats so absolute, so relentless. But you will have to keep fighting them just to survive, survival is for the uninspired. Victory is for the strong! And the strong are willing to embrace the darkness! This is my domain, So fall in soldier, as the true enemy rises, darkness is your only hope."-Liliana Vess
Emrakul could feel the minds of the weak. Included in these was a weak-minded, old kind lady. Emrakul devoted some of her presence to invade the lady's mind. She searched the plane for more weak individuals. Emrakul could sense another weak mind, an aberrant researcher. She reached out with her telepathic powers, putting a dab of her presence on his mind.
Her thoughts drifted around the plane. She came across Werewolves taking the weak. The strong resisted her, but she only needed the weak. There were so many of them, all of them chanting her name "Emrakul", across the plane of Innistrad. She could now sense a curious Homunculus. She drove it mad with her mind, taking control and turning it into an Eldrazi Horror.
Emrakul targeted the Angels, humans, and Vampires next. She felt her Eldrazi horrors growing all over the land; soon this plane and all planes will be Emrakul. Though the Geists were a big problem, they could not be taken over because they were already dead. Emrakul dismissed this; her horrors would kill the Geists, Zombies, and Skeletons alike.
With the might of her presence on the plane, the rats' minds were quickly corrupted. She could sense a Dragon; a rare creature on Innistrad. Emrakul began to assault its mind, but this Dragon was good it resisted her.
She gave up trying to take it over but left enough of her presence so it couldn't think straight. She could feel so many of them so many of her Eldrazi horrors. Hundreds! Wait, no, thousands! Now millions! Emrakul looked up to Innistrad's moon, speaking to herself. "This plane is mine."
