Anja and Adeyemi laid on the floor of the dance studio. They had just finished working on a contemporary routine that knocked the wind out of Anja- and she was the contemporary major. Anja gave the other girl a nervous side glance, which Adeyemi caught. Adeyemi cleared her throat.
"Speak. Don't just keep looking at me like you want to say something."
Anja bit her lip, "I'm dating Rafael." She said quietly
"Congratulations, however what does that have to do with me? She asked changing positions and laying on her stomach.
"Before, when we hung out, it seemed like you two knew each other." Anja looked away from her friend, she felt awful bringing it up but she couldn't ask Rafael it would hurt more hearing it from him, she could take it if it came from Adeyemi.
"We know each other yes." Adeyemi said. She knew what the taller girl was getting at. However, she wasn't going to save her the agony of asking the full question. She wanted to hear the words come out of Anjas mouth. Was that evil of her? She didn’t think so, though Anja was older she was ill experienced and this conversation should be led by the one who wants answers not the one who can give it.
"O-oh" Anjas mouth was getting dry. She sat up and drank some of her water. Adeyemi just looked at her.
"Well if that's all you were going to ask, you didn't need to look so nervous." Adeyemi said and she stretched out.
"N-no, there's more." She said looking at the young woman.
Adeyemi raised a brow but stayed silent.
"Did- Do you two have something going on?"
Adeyemi sat up quickly a look of shock upon her face. "D-d-don't you think you should ask your boyfriend, not me?" She sounded completely innocent. Internally she was smiling slyly.
Anja shook her head "No, I can't get myself to ask him. But I can ask you." Anja said "So did you?"
Adeyemi sighed and laid back down. "You do know he's my god-brother right? I guess you can say we were very close growing up, we'd hang out only with each other at international functions. Then we were both sent to the same secondary school in England and got even closer. He was my only friend." Oh yes, completely innocent.
Anja let out a small sigh in relief "So there was nothing going on."
Adeyemi fought not to laugh, she didn't know why this was amusing to her, the poor girl was so distraught earlier.
"I never said that."
Anja looked at the other woman in surprise, "b-but you said you're god-siblings"
"But not related by blood. There was something, but don't fret it wasn't really romantic. It was just two lonely and lost people who sought comfort in each other. Just because I slept with him for a few years and considered him my best friend, doesn't mean I ever saw him as a potential life long partner, I'm engaged."
"A few years? Plural?" Anja nearly shouted.
"Shh. I am betrothed, you can't just yell shit like that Anja. I just recently got Zituang to calm his antics. It was more like a couple of years. I was going through a tough time with everything in my life and he was there to comfort me. That's all. I haven't even slept with him since last year." Adeyemi said.
"You stopped only a year ago? Oh my god." Anja said in shock
"Hey, calm down. I slept with him so what? He's slept with and cheated on plenty of women. I'm just another name in a long list, why are you so upset?"
"Because you- and him- and- and- I." Anja couldn't get her words straight. Adeyemi gave the older girl a gentle look, she had a feeling as to why she was so frazzled.
Adeyemi sat up and scooted closer to the other girl so their knees touched as they both sat cross legged. " He's not mine to take. Stop your worrying it. It's making me feel anxious. He's all yours, we have both moved on. I'm not going to take him away, you silly girl. "
Anja looked at the shorter girl, "Why- why didn't you become something more?"
Adeyemi shrugged "Maintaining our friendship was more important. Sometimes feeling were brought outside of the bedroom or brought in and while it certainly heightened the experience we both knew it would cause a big change. We messed around when we felt like it and that was that. When we were in bedroom we left all feeling besides our carnal pleasure, aside. He's changed a lot in the past month in a half, I can see it. Never have I ever seen him turn down blatantly offered sex from a beautiful women before. He did so several times. He's been using his charm for good even. Like what is that?” She said with a giggle before continuing
“ To be honest we weren't the nicest of people. We both caused some really bad damage to other peoples’ hearts because of the games we played and webs we spun. But, I can see him changing, and I'm thankful for that. I thank you for that.God, I feel weird having to tell you all this. Um do you have any other questions?" She finished awkwardly.
Anja shook her head. "I- no. Not for now." She said softly.
Adeyemi nodded and they both sat quietly for a long time in awkward silence. " So how ‘bout them patriots?"
Anja giggled and Adeyemi followed soon the girls were howling with laughter.
"Oh heavens, where did you get that from?"
"I saw it in a movie from centuries ago."
They laughed some more and the tension dispelled.
"What he did with other girls. I doubt he'll do to you. You are a kind girl. He never chased after anyone so much in his life. He'll be loyal." Adeyemi said seriously
"You think so?" Anja looked away worry etched on her face.
" I do, of course only time will tell." Adeyemi replied honestly.
The girls packed up and left the studio smiling. Anja was glad because she got answers and while she thought she was going to be really uncomfortable, in the end she felt a lot better. Adeyemi was glad because the nicer girl was still her friend even after she admitted to sleeping with her current boyfriend. She shared a few tips to the meek girl, she knew having an actual relationship with Rafael will be very trying if the girl couldn't stand her ground. Women flocked to him left and right. When they exited the building Rafael was waiting outside. Anja jogged toward him and her engulfed her in his arms. Adeyemi smiled at the couple
"Have a good day you two." She said as she continued walking to her next class.
"Bye Ade."
"Bye friend!"
Adeyemi knew she would have to suffer the consequences for running her mouth to Ryan. She didn't think he would come back for her though, but he did. He sent a text while his plane was landing, she was in the middle of class at the time. She never ran so quickly in her life. She was terrified, as much as she hated him she was also scared of him. Whatever she could do to please him she would. She sped toward his special hotel but got caught in traffic, she arrived five minutes late. As soon as she walked to the door, he grabbed hold of her arm and flung her into the nearest wall without word. Her vision swam and she let out a small grunt.
"I'm so sor-" Her words were cut off by a smack on her cheek.
"You stupid little girl." He bent low so he was in her face. "Why on earth would you run your mouth and tell the boy those things?"
"I-I-I just wanted- I wanted-" He kicked her in the stomach
" Haven't I taught you better than that? Were all my efforts grooming you for naught? What have I told you!" He grabbed her by her hair, his grip was something fierce.
"You wanted to hurt him because he has a little whore in England? Because he's doesn’t wish to lay with you every night? Whose fault is that? It's yours for not entertaining him. I've set it all up for you and you still fuck it up. Who cares if he has women across the globe? You don’t belong to him do you?" The man questioned as he pulled on her hair.
"No sir." Adeyemi said as she fought not to cry.
"That's right. Because who do you really belong to?" He asked looking down at her.
"You sir." She gasped through the pain.
He let her go with a shove to her head, and sat on the couch with a sigh. Adeyemi crawled over to him and took off his shoes then unbuckled his pants. The procedure was burned into her brain by now. She'd try to gain his favor by pleasuring him. So she sat on her knees before him and did what he trained her to do. It wasn't enough to convince him to ease his punishment and he made their encounter even more painful, to the point where she fought to get him off of her body several times. It didn't work, and he beat her while he invaded her body.
When he was finished with her, he gave her one last warning on her behavior before leaving. Adeyemi didn't know what came over her to try and fight against him today. He had already beat her, the normal response for her was to shut her eyes and try not to feel the pain. She was disgusted. She was disgusting. She didn't want to have any contact with that monster. He was the one who turned her into the disaster she was today. She hated that her body responded him, he conditioned her to be that way. Adeyemi wheezed slightly as she went over her thoughts. He had her trained so well he'd purposely say or do something triggering at political events and she'd have to slip away so she could relieve herself.
He didn't have to force his way inside of her anymore because he conditioned her to react to him. When she wanted to scream, she moaned instead. She was sick. Why did this happen to her? Did she evil in a past life? Was this a condition placed upon her for being a princess and having the highest privilege? She didn't ask to be born. So why was she here living in this hell? She laid un moving on the couch where he left her. The room seemed dim and was spinning, she shut her eyes, the exhaustion consuming her.
When she woke, she had no idea what time it was. She bit her lip. Her stomach told her it was hungry but she couldn't order any food in her state. She could barely be up for long. Her breathing still hurt but not as much. She doubted he broke a rib. He wasn't stupid. Testing her strength she pushed herself up to her knees then used the side table to help her stand on wobbly legs. After staying in that position for a while the shaking had stopped. She took one step then another then another, after her tenth step she fell, she tried again. She had a limp but she felt it was an improvement from her earlier crawling.
Adeyemi pushed herself up and started again until she could make it to the bathroom. She sat under the waterfall shower heads and let the water whisk away the outer shame. She wanted to scrub him off but she couldn't, she didn't have the strength to attempt it. She could barely soap her body correctly. She wanted to go home. What if he hadn't left the country and planned on returning here? Blood drained from her face at the thought. She hurriedly turned off the shower and wrapped herself in a towel. She didn't care if she had to crawl to the elevator, she was leaving. She gathered her clothing and dressed not caring her skin was still wet. She hung up the towel and checked each room to ensure she had left no traces of herself and then left the building, her large curls covering her face.
When she arrived to her apartment she shed her clothing and dumped them in the trash bin. She filled her tub with water and eased herself into it. Her nether regions screamed and she decided it was a bad idea but couldn’t move. She rinsed off again, dried herself properly and threw on a long fluffy robe. She grabbed a heating pillow and placed it in her microwave. In the meantime she thought about what she wanted to eat. Unfortunately the restaurant she wanted to eat from didn't deliver. Her fridge was empty because she cooked often but hadn't yet gone grocery shopping. The timer went off and her kitchen smelled like cherries thanks to the cherry seeds the bag pillow was stuffed with. She placed it on her neck and laid on her couch. Should she call him?
She didn't want to bother him, she knew he had other things to worry about. She cursed. She had just admitted to sleeping with her best friend to his girlfriend, how can she call him to her side? But he was the only one she would ask. Jaejeong would be too concerned and ask too many questions, it'll be too much for them both. Rafael on the other hand, he's seen her in similar shape. He hadn’t been to her new apartment. Since that would bring about things they didn’t want to talk about. Still she’d ask him, because he wouldn’t ask questions even if he didn’t understand.Plus she needed to eat. Adeyemi picked up her phone and sent Rafael the text.
She was so tired and her whole body just felt in pain. But this only reminded her why feelings were bad. She had been sleeping with the leaders of the world for a long time. She did it out of obligation, they slept with her because of lust. She hadn't had anyone turn her down yet. Was it really that hard to turn down a woman in lingerie? So what if she was beautiful? So what if she had a sexy body? They her job easy. She just had to show them once what she could do and then after that she had them around her fingers. Why was sex so powerful? How could men become so weak in the presence of beautiful women? Sometimes when she had a new guest in her suite, she'd hope they were gay. So then she didn't have to sleep with them. She could talk her way into getting what she wanted done. She had a brain, but didn't get to use it unless it was for overthinking or thinking about the best ways to please a client. Her phone vibrated on her chest. It was Rafael.
Be there in 15.
She could wait.
Fifteen minutes later Rafael walked down the hallway to her apartment. Jaejeong was leaving his apartment the same time Rafael walked past his door. Jaejeongs eyes followed the man he knew didn't live on this floor. Ah, didn’t they have a class together? Jaejeongs’ eyes narrowed slightly when the young man stopped at Adeyemi's door and gave two short knocks. He thought perhaps his lover wasn't home since the door wasn't opened for a while. However the door opened slowly.
"Oh my God." Said the man, he sounded upset.
Jaejeong watched as Adeyemi's hand reached out and snatched the bag of food from him.
"Thanks Rafael." She said her voice croaking, and moved to close the door but Rafael hand stopped it and he instead followed her inside.
"Let me help you." Jaejeong heard the other man say before the door closed.
Adeyemi gave her Rafael a thankful look. He looked at her with concern and took her hand.
"What happened?"
"You know I can't tell you that." She said limping to the couch.
"You’re limping, and your face looks like it was used for practice by a professional fighter." He said angrily.
"If you're going to point out the obvious, then please leave." She said with a wince as she sat down.
Rafael rushed to help her sit comfortably.
"You- I don't understand you. You get hurt like this and then want me to not question what happened. You never even let me take you to the hospital." Rafael was frustrated
"I know, I'm sorry. One day I might tell you. Just not right now. But someday when you're king you'll figure it out." She said cryptically.
