Reinhard hummed a chirpy melody while carrying the lifeless body of his dead comrade. He sometimes skipped to the tune of the song. Despite what happened, he was in a good mood. He stopped when he noticed a small chapel at the abandoned graveyard nearby. Secluded and eerie enough for mere humans to stay away, not to disturb the sleeping dead. But not for Reihard, it was actually a perfect setting for what he had in mind.
That bastard.
With Wilhelm still in his arms he kicked the door open, the loud thud scared the crows that were sitting nearby.
The inside was dim, dust and cobwebs surrounded the place. The tiny dust particles danced in the light coming from the remains of broken windows, when a crow escaped trough it. Reinhard smiled and stepped inside, closing the door with his leg. The broken shards of windows and various glass objects crunched under his steps.
Approaching the altar with Wilhelm in his arms, it almost felt like some twisted marriage ceremony. Except the place and the intentions of the black haired general were much more macabre.
"Let's say I'm doing you a favor and I brought you here to pay you last respects. Sounds good right? Most of us don't get that luxury on the battlefield, it's a war after all."
He spoke, but there was no one to answer him.
He carefully put Wilhelm's body on the stone altar, then picked a few candles lying around, placed in a brass candlestick and lit for more light.
It was so quiet. In the dim light, where the wounds and blood stains were almost unseen it looked like the blonde soldier would just sleep peacefully. It only aroused Reinhard all the more.
"...Willy..."
Reinhard looked at him with delight, and brushed Wilhelms cheek gently with the back of his palm. The way he said his name sounded almost like a low sensual purr.
"Oh, Willyyy..."
Now it sounded like a melodramatic sigh, as he leaned forward, embraced the body quickly and rested his head in the nook of Wilhelms neck.
"Mmmm~~..."
His embrace tightened as he moaned low, not caring about his own uniform getting stained with blood the more he pressed against the corpse.
He started to kiss Wilhelm's neck. It was still warm. Some crows sat by the broken windows looking curiously at the perveted man. That's what the rumors meant about some of his questionable "hobbies".
"Too bad you're dead... I won't be able to hear your little gasps and moans... it would be so lovely... such... pity..."
He was breathing louder as he playfully nibbled the neck, his right hand moving lower, rubbing Wilhelm's side.
"But at least now you won't reject me..."
Reinhard smiled. He lifted himself a bit to look at Wilhelm and brushed the hair off the forehead.
"You were such a fine man..."
He lovered the tone of his voice which sounded almost like a sensual whisper.
"If only there was a way to preserve your body somehow... the way you are now..." He kissed his cheek.
"...I would keep you by my side... foreverrrr... all... miiiine..."
He sighs aroused and places a deep kiss on Wilhelms lips.
"I would take goooood care of you... everyday... heh heh, hmmmm~~..."
He nuzzled to Wilhelms cheek like a puppy slipping a soft moan. Suddenly he got up, picked Wilhelm's hand and placed a kiss on the back of it.
"Give me a moment to prepare, alright? Just a second."
Reinhard bit his lower lip playfully and chuckled lightly, took few steps back and started to strip. He took off his gloves first, then undid his belt with a holster attached to it and threw it to the side. Smiling creepily and sighing in anticipation, he started to unbutton the coat and turned around to hang it at the edge of a bench nearby. He was loosening his neck tie when a sudden breeze blew trough the broken window, the candles flickered and then a noise was to hear.
A cough.
The crows by the window flew away cawing loud.
A wheeze.
Reinhard froze in place.
Silence.
He turned around.
Nothing changed, Wilhelm was still lying there on the altar. Did he just imagine it...? He approached the body slowly, inhaling deep and holding his breath as he leaned above to look at the face of his dead comrade.
Silence. Nothing.
Reinhard exhaled loud in relief, giving a short chuckle, maybe it was really just his imagination.
"Impossible."
He shrugged and shook his head with a slight smirk, then continued with unbuttoning the shirt.
"I'm almost ready, Schnucki-... GUH!"
Suddenly Wilhelm's hand gripped tight on Reinhards neck chocking him, then pulled down closer to his face.
"I... told you... before... DON'T... call me... Schnucki... putzi."
Wilhelm said trough teeth, his voice trembling. He opened his eyes, and stared deep in Reinhards deep blue eyes, his own gleamed with eerie red light in them. Reinhard gasped and yelped terrified as ge was thrown to the side, then just watched without moving an inch.
Wilhelm groaned as he slowly got up and sat on the altar, then stood up, swaying a little at first. When he made a step forward five bullets dropped from the wounds of his body, hitting against the ground with a clang. The wounds closed soon after. Wilhelm rubbed his chest, feeling the holes that were left in his coat. He groaned.
"My clothes are ruined... And whose fault is it, huh?"
He said annoyed and looked arund then at Reinhard, who was shaking and pale and not able to say a word.
"Heeeeh..."
Wilhelm smiled creepily and leaned forward, spreading his arms wide like a predator approaching his totally cornered prey.
"Aren't you going to greet your resurrected buddy, motherfucker?" He made few steps forward.
"M-... MONSTER! ZOMBIE!"
Reinhard yelped and started to crawl backwards, clumsily, not caring that his hands get cut by the shards around.
"Hoooow does it feeeel to be completely alone against your enemy, huuuuh? Without your pack of henchmen to aid you. Unarmed and cornered, HUUUH? Because I know how it feels. You know what else I know? How it is to be stuffed with five fucking bullets."
"Unarmed you say?"
Reinhards voice sounded unnatural, he reached to his side to grab his gun, but he realized he threw it away earlier. He looked around nervously just to see a dapper tall man passing by, twirling the gun around his finger.
"Are you looking for this?"
Samael smiled mockingly and passed the gun to Wilhelm, who then pointed the gun at Reinhard.
"It's payback time."
He said the words with malice.
"Any last words?"
"No please, Willy, don't be like this, I beg you don't shoot, I'm sorry for ealier, I really do, please-...!"
Reinhard started to beg when Wilhelm lost his patience and pulled the trigger. More than once.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DIE YOU PITIFUL---
*shot*
DIRTY---
*shot*
ABUSIVE---
*shot*
NECROPHILIAC---
*shot*
SONOVABITCH!!!"
*shot*
NO FUCKING MERCY FOR THE LIKES OF YOU!!
Wilhelm kept pulling the trigger, but the magazine was already empty, so all the gun did was to click a few more times.
"It's over."
Samael said calmly and put his hand on the gun, lowering it. Wilhelm was breathing hard, trying to calm down after his rage outburst. He looked at the dead body of Reinhard, his last expression being the one of a terrified man. The blonde inhaled deep one more time and exhaled loud, then threw the gun to the side. His eyes stopped to glow red. He was still shaking slightly, but steadily regaining his posture. By a force of habit, he reached for his cigarettes in the upper pocket of his coat, but groaned when he saw that they were ruined by a bullet and soaked with blood. He nervously spilled them all out on his palm, and found one that was still good enough to use. He put it in the mouth, while Samael snapped with his fingers and provided some fire to light the cigarette.
Wilhelm dragged on the cig, then tilted his head back closing his eyes and exhaled loudly. The smoke dissolved slowly when some crows flew inside the chapel and started to nibble on Reinhards body. The soldier looked at it with an empty expression.
"Serves you right... you old fool."
"Feeling better?" Samael asked quietly.
"Yea."
Wilhelm replied short, moved to the side and sprawled himself on a bench, exhausted.
"Nice resurrection trick you got there. Patched me up neatly." He said rubbing the chest again.
"Not exactly resurrected. I just helped a bit by awakening your abilities." Samael shrugged saying it as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
"Mmmhmmm..."
Wilhelm pauses, looking in the far with unfocused eyes, pondering.
"...So tell me..."
He dragged on the cigarette again, and exhaled calmly.
"Yes?"
"...what's the deal with me being a devil?"
