Every Sunday there is a local market that takes place in the middle of the town. The most popular stand is the one with the flowers. An old couple have been standing there for already quite some time and since a few months ago, a girl started helping with arranging the beautiful flowers. She wasn't much of a talker but she smiled the brightest when she was looking at the flowers. It didn't take long before she became popular. When the local market was ready to leave, she went to the river nearby and look at the water. She was mysterious by the fact that she wasn't much of a talker. A kid around 8 years old followed her to the river. Earlier in the morning he chose the prettiest flower he could find to give it to her. He smiled while holding the flower towards the flower girl and hoped she would smile too. And she did, she gave the boy a little kiss on his forehead and walked to her grandparents to make herself ready to leave. She waved goodbye to the little boy and she was gone. Every Sunday he would try to give an other flower to her and also tried talking but all she would do is give him a bright smile and a kiss on his forehead. After four weeks he asked her why she doesn't talk and her answer was a sad smile. She wrote on a piece of paper that she wasn't born with a voice. The little child thought it wasn't fair and almost started crying. She gave him a hug and patted his head softly. He calmed down and said that every week he would give her a flower to make her day even better. They both made a pinky promise and soon became the best friends.
