She looks like a human girl. However it is obvious she was out of place. I feel myself wanting to go and speak with her, I shake the feeling and hurry through the street between the stopped cars. By the time I am across to the other side, the girl is gone. I hurry into the shop nearest. A small bookshop filled with aged books gathering dust.
I stop because she's right there in front of me. "Purity, darling?" I hear what sounds like the voice of a middle-aged man. She turns and darts off towards the voice. Purity... Definitely a Void name. What is she doing here I wonder? She glances back at me and her eyes, one gold and the other gray, are peculiar. Her fair is a flowing blue-violet that goes halfway down her back.
To make it look like I have a reason to be here I grab a thick volume bound in dusty leather off the shelf. It's one I've read many a time before and I stand there skimming the pages not really taking in the words.
