It was about time for the heavy rush of students arriving, placing their bag's on their desks, and smiling with friends they haven't seen in a while to begin. I sat down on a desk in the back row, near the window. I placed my bag to my feet and quickly began to search for my book "April". Through the window I could see the people start to slowly trickle in. At fist it was one, or maybe two students that walked through the gate every 10 minutes. Then every 5, then 3, now every 5 seconds.
The classroom was quickly filling up with girls and boys alike. I clenched my book" April" and tried my best to seem adequately busy. If I was busy and did not maintain direct eye contact, people would normally leave pretty quickly. After some time it became sport for me. I don't know my record, but it's less then 15 seconds I'm sure.
I classroom was getting louder and louder. The girls who sat 2 row in front of me were the loudest though. I'd seen them a few times before last year. There were 4 of them. They were always together. When just one of them ever got busy, the 4 of them would split up until they could all be together again. They remind me of the saying " All or nothing ".
They were also very flashy. They were the rare type that were very nice but showy as well. They even showed it in their clothes. Even though they were wearing the school uniform, they would sew on beads and add colored stripes on to their clothes. They would highlight their hair unusual colors, like pink and blue, or even add sparkles an heavy makeup to their faces sometimes. They often got in trouble with the teachers. They like the attention to I think. They would always speak loud, loud enough that even I who never cared for them much could hear them clearly over everyone in the crowd. I don’t really like them much.
As people started coming in, I tried to look busy reading my book. Every once in a while when no one was looking I'd take a peek at what they were doing. My book was not very interesting. " April " started slow. It didn’t make to much sense at first, but it had a nice effect. The details were described very well.
The time pasted quite fast. Before I knew it class had begun. The other kids all sat in their seats for the year and out teacher walked in. I had never seen this teacher before. She must have been new. She had long black hair and from where I sat looked quite tall for a woman. She was slim, and had a few freckles on her face. Her nails were painted nude pink, and she wore light mascara I think. It suited her. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, but her bangs remained free. She was quite pretty, she was probably 30 but looked as if she could still be a student in a way.
" Hello everyone, my name is Nina Yamato. I am new to the school this year. I will be teaching math this year. Please take care of me everyone. " She said with a slight bow and a kind voice.
Class passes quickly, most of the things Miss Yamato went over was just review from last year. Everyone seemed to like her and the class was some-what easy. In a few months the class would probably be on the edge of their seats though. That's why everyone went out of their way to enjoy the first week.
