The day went by peacefully. At the sound of the last bell, Matt gathered his belongings and made his way out of the school. He walked past the front gate, across the park and headed towards the bus stop. Shortly after he arrived at the the his stop, the bus pulled in and opened its door. Several passengers exited, clearing out some of the seats for the new passengers. Matt got onto the bus and found himself one of the empty seats. He sat there, staring out the window, watching as buildings went by. Neatly dressed professionals walked in and out of office buildings. Matt sighed and gazed at the cars going by, mostly silver or black, with the occasional blue or red one. Every car shined as though it had just gone through a car washing mashine. Not a single speck of dirt was present on any of the vehicles.
Matt got of at his bus stop, cautiously stepping of the bus onto the pavement. His mother's car was parked in the driveway. He unlocked the front door and turned the silver door knob, stepping inside. He made his way to his room, and collapsed onto his bed. He layed on his back, staring at the ceiling for a little while, reviewing the day's lessons in his head. He closed his eyes, listening to the faint sound of chattering in the kitchen.
