Hellbound

World Map

World Map

Jun 25, 2017

It seems that I can't upload images in novels, but the link to Hellbound's world map will be in the description! You won't need to view it to understand the story, but it may make some sense. Sadly, I'm not sure all the cities will be mentioned, and I didn't put any of the villages, trade posts, or miscellaneous landmarks. Only the major cities are shown, along with a few major land marks that I was able to fit.

Enjoy!

This was a world of freedom. Of peace. Where people could roam freely, not having to worry about anything other than the harvest for the winter, or how they were going to spend their currency. We were happy as a species. Until, there was a day where someone broke the gates of hell, and everything good died. Monsters were unleashed, demons we called them. We began to live in fear, knowing they were always there, and no matter what we did, there was no way to protect ourselves. Not even the God of the Underworld, whose name we do not know, was unable to control them, to reel them back into the pits of the fiery inferno.

Knowing there wasn't much he could do, he gave the humans a gift. We call it the "Mark." The Mark allowed the humans to summon animalistic demons of their own, to fight by their side against the evil that plagued the world. The Mark was given to those who were born with a spiritual strength, so that the "hounds," as they were often referred to as, could be able to sustain themselves when entering the material world. You could lose your Mark, and thus your hounds were stripped. However, very few formed true bonds with them, and their hounds created material forms of themselves so they could stay with their masters.

This is a story about one, who's soul and spirit was birthed from the power of hell's release, who was given a Mark instead of his death.
