"Good Morning miss Alvis." She heard as she opened her eyes looking at the two standing by the end of the bed she is sleeping on. She sat and rested her back on the pillow that was under her head. "Professor Dumbledore, Professor Snape." She begun.
"How are you feeling miss Alvis?" asked professor Dumbledore.
"I feel fine, is.. is everyone else okay?" she answered.
"Do not worry, everyone is fine. Only you and mister Malfoy were brought here three days ago, he was discharged the next day you came." Dumbledore said. "Today is the last day in school, everyone is going back home tomorrow. If you didn't wake up today, we would had to inform your parents about what happened."
"You four would have gotten in a big trouble. You should be thankful that professor Dumbledore listened to mister Malfoy's excuses." Said professor Snape.
"Yes. I deeply apologize for my reckless actions." Zaya apologized.
"Everything is fine now so it's okay. I am sure that no reckless actions are going to be done in the future, correct?" Said Dumbledore calmly.
"Yes, sir." Responded Zaya.
The two professors walked out of the room, while Draco, Blaise, and Hermione were walking to it. As Zaya was looking at her scratched hands the three came closer . "Ahem." Draco said, pulling the chair next to her bed and setting on it. "When did you wake up?"
"Not so long ago." She answered. "I'm sorry for putting you guys in trouble. I didn't think that it was anything this dangerous."
"It was dangerous but we are all fine aren't we?" Said Hermione, smiling at the girl sitting in bed.
"Look at the bright side, we got to fight for real." Blaise cheerfully excused. "And we didn't die!"
Looking at Blaise "Well that was predictable, wasn't it?" Draco said. "Did you think that you were going to die when I'm with you?" with a smug he continued.
Between the laughs of all Zaya apologized again. "However, it's still something wrong, so I'm sorry. Truly sorry."
Hermione looked at her watch, gasped. "I am late, I should go with Harry and Ron to the Gryffindor's celebration. See you later." She said and rushed out of the room.
"What? What celebration?" Zaya asked.
"Well, we lost a lot of points because we got out of Hogwarts." Blaise explained.
"And what does that have to do with Gryffindor celebrating? We didn't lose the house cup did we?" Zaya asked again.
"We actually did, unfortunately." Draco exclaimed. "Gryffindor won the house cup with 50 points more than us."
"What!? Ugh this is all my fault." She sadly said.
"No, not really." Draco said. "The points we lost because of what we did made us only one point ahead of Gryffindor, but then Dumbledore gave them points for some stuff and we got 50 points behind them."
"That's making me feel better. Blaise can you go ask Madam Pomfrey if I can get discharged now?" Zaya asked.
"Yeah sure." Said Blaise.
"Zaya, who-" Draco stopped midway, and remained quite for a second.
"Who what?" Zaya asked, frowning her brows.
Draco smiled, "Who is going to take you from the train station?"
"My parents." She answered.
"Can I meet them?" He asked again, with the same tone.
"Of course." She answered with a smile.
He wanted to ask about that girl, Wanda. But he couldn't. he knew that it wouldn't make Zaya happy, just like he knew that it's better to not bring the subject again. Madam Pomfrey discharged Zaya after checking on her body for the last time. She went to the common room, put her books in place, her clothes and stuff in her bag, and closed it. She didn't forget to grab the cat's cage. She was thinking about an excuse to tell her parents when they see the scratches on her face and hands, when Draco noticed and told her to tell them that she fell when she was on her broomstick.
It's finally the day to go home. Everyone is excited to tell their parents about what they did this year. They went to the train station, got in the train, and headed back home. Just like on the way to Hogwarts, Draco sat in the same compartment as Zaya, but now as friends, not strangers. Blaise then came and sat with them because he didn't want to miss the chats.
When they finally got home, students rushed from the train like a flood, each running to his parents, hugging them, and excitedly telling them about the year. Zaya carefully got off the train and scanned the area looking for her parents until she found them. "My parents are over there." She said, pointing at them to Draco.
"My parents are close to them, I'm pretty sure they know each other."
The two got closer to their parents. And while they were walking smiling towards them, Mr. Alvis had a questioning face, whispering to his wife. "Why is our daughter walking with Lucius Malfoy's son?"
"Oh believe me I have the same question in my head." A deep voice from behind him said.
"Narcissa, Lucius! How are you two?" Mrs. Alvis asked. "It's nice to see you! Isn't it Joe?" she said as she poked her husband's waist with her elbow, which made him nod.
"It's nice to see you too Camellia!" Narcissa said. "I see that our kids are friends now."
As the four were talking Draco and Zaya reached them. "Mum! Dad!" Zaya said as she hugged her parents while she introduced Draco to them. "This is my friend Draco Malfoy, I met him on the train"
"Pleasure to meet you sir, ma'am." Draco politely said, and turned to his parents. "This is Zaya Alvis, we became quite good friends since the first day."
"Hello miss Zaya, how are you doing?" Said Mr. Malfoy, looking at Zaya with his sharp eyes.
"I am doing good sir, as your son took care of me couple of times." Zaya answered politely.
"Aw, you tow look like such good friends." Narcissa said in aw. "why don't you visit us for dinner in the Malfoy Manor?"
"No this is a bit-" Joe was cut by his wife "That would be amazing" Mrs. Alvis said.
"Good! Then expect a letter from me after few days." Narcissa said cheerfully as she said goodbye to Mrs. Alvis, and started walking away next to her husband.
"Dear I don't think that this is a good idea." Said Mr. Malfoy.
"Oh come on! Look at how happy our little Draco is with her." She said with a frown, slightly pointing at the two couple of steps behind them.
"So I guess I'll see you soon?" Draco asked with a smile.
"Sure!" Zaya said. "See you later, Draco."
They smiled as they walked away from each other, waving to the other and caching up to their parents' fast steps. They were both excited for their next meet.
"Son, how did you become a friend with a Ravenclaw?" Lucius asked.
"Oh she's not a Ravenclaw. She is a Slytherin." Draco responded and caused a confusion look to stay on his parents' faces. On the other hand Mr. Alvis asked his daughter a similar question. "Honey, what house is Draco Malfoy in? He can not be a Ravenclaw can he?"
"No he is not. He is a Slytherin," Zaya said
"Oh." Her father said in understanding tone.
"Just like me." Zaya finished her sentence.
"Well isn't that good? You're in the same house. That's nice." Her mother said. But her father's reaction was rather different. "Excuse me What?" Mr. Alvis asked in disbelief.
"I was sorted in Slytherin, Father." Zaya repeated, with a firm tone, that left her father in shock, because how on earth can an Alvis, a person from a family that got sorted in Ravenclaw for decades, and if not in Gryffindor, be sorted into Slytherin!?
