It was a nice day when Zaya woke up in her room and heard her parents talking and laughing in the living room. It has been a week since the last day at Hogwarts, she told her parents everything that happened in the school this year, however she decided that they don't have to know about what happened with Wanda.
She got out to the living room and saw her parents sitting down talking about their visit to the Malfoy's and clearly Mr. Alvis did not want to go and meat his rival for a second time. They are going to go there for lunch and dinner tomorrow. Narcissa said in her letter that after lunch they may go out to the muggle world and wonder around there.
When Zaya heard about going to the muggle world she got excited. Her father goes to the muggle world every now and then to check few things, but she is never allowed to do so.
"Okay shall we eat breakfast now please?" asked Mr. Alvis.
The house-elves made a great breakfast as always, they told Mrs. Alvis that it would be nice to take something homemade to the Malfoys when visiting them, which she agreed to only if she liked what they made to take there. So that afternoon the house elves asked the family to go to the dining room. There they saw a long table full with desserts , from tarts to cakes, Chocolate to Caramel, something fancy and extraordinary to something simple looking but with stunning magical taste. Camellia ended up choosing a tray filled with mini tarts, each tart has a different flavor and different toppings. Some are with lemon filling and with a slice of lemon on top and some are raspberry flavored with a red raspberry on top.
Whenever Mrs. Alvis chooses something, everyone knows it's going to be the best. She had this talent since she was one year old. When her parents would put a map to two different places, she would always pic the one that is the best. Her parents always wondered why the place they didn't pick always turn out to be an awful option.
After deciding what dessert would they take with them to the Malfoys. Mrs. Alvis and her daughter started looking for the perfect dress that they would wear there. Of course it's not an easy task choosing a dress, so they took quite long time picking one. Mrs. Alvis chose a long black dress with short sleeves, that has shining jewelry making it look like she is wearing a necklace. Zaya chose a dark blue fit and flare dress that had long sleeves. On the right sleeve, a few transparent stones were sprinkled, and so on the bottom of the dress.
That was the day for the Alvis's females, they ate dinner and went to bed after that, only Zaya was the one who was so excited she couldn’t sleep right away.
The day finally came and Zaya woke up early, she ate her breakfast and stayed in her room trying different hair styles until her mother called her to finally go to the Malfoy Manor. They stood under the fire place. Clearly and loudly Mr. Alvis said "Malfoy Manor" and the three were transported there.
"The Malfoy manor" Zaya whispered.
Mrs. Alvis saw one of the house-elves there and gave him the try of tarts as he welcomed them in.
"Oh here you are!" Narcissa was heard from above the stairs. As she came down she welcomed the three "I am really glad you were able to make it! Come, this way."
They walked a long hallway and opened the door to the main room in the manor and sat on the black chairs next to the fire place.
"So Zaya, how did you find Hogwarts?" Asked Narcissa.
"It was good, but there were some obstacles because of the upperclassmen in my house, they were trying to force their power on us, first year's."
"Oh all of them are the same." Narcissa said with a laugh. "I heard you got sorted in Slytherin, yeah?"
"Yes." She answered.
"I was surprised when I heard from Draco that you two were sorted In the same house. I thought that all the Alvises belonged to Ravenclaw, you proved me wrong." Lucius said as he came into the room with his son. "Welcome to the Malfoy manor
"Wow you look different!" the first reaction Draco gave to Zaya made her laugh.
"Well you look different too, you're wearing a suit." She replied.
"Lunch is going to be served after half an hour, you two go and play somewhere." Narcissa said, referring to Draco and Zaya. "I'm going to take Camellia with me and chat so you men go and talk about.. whatever men talk about."
"Let's go to my room then." Draco said to Zaya.
The two went upstairs, to Draco's room when Zaya asked him about something that was on her mind lately "What was that ring that you were wearing when you came to save me from Wanda?"
"Just a ring, nothing special about it."
"Draco." She said with a different tone.
"It's the family ring." He said as they got in his room. "I was supposed to wear it when I am fifteen but I wore it that day."
"If you were supposed to wear it when you're fifteen, why did you have it with you?"
"The ring must stay with it's heir, which is me." He said, opening a drawer and grabbing a dark green ring box that had a white stripe on it's left side from it. "this is the other half of my ring's stone."
"It looks feminine, who is it's owner?" Zaya asked as she extended her hand in order to hold the box. The stone started shining when Zaya almost touched it, the books in Draco's library started shaking and few fell down from their shelf which made Zaya take her hand back.
"It has an heir that we don't know yet. My ring was my father, and he didn't know that my mother is this ring's heir until he was fifteen."
"So basically this ring's heir is going to be your future wife?" Zaya asked again.
"Yes."
"What if you don't like each other?" she asked again in worry.
"We have no choice in marrying each other or not. Luckily until now all the heirs were in love."
"Ooh. How are you going to know who's it's heir?" Zaya asked, again.
"I'll figure it out when I'm fifteen." Draco answered. Changing the subject he then asked "Have you ever read a muggle novel?"
"No, why?" Zaya answered.
"I guess you like romance." He said as he grabbed his wand and pointed it at his library "Turn"
"You have a hidden library!" it's not actually hidden, only my father doesn't know about it, he wouldn't like it if he knew I was reading muggle stuff."
He grabbed a paperback book that didn't seem heavy, titled 'Love Story' and handed it to Zaya.
A muggle novel. Zaya has never thought of reading one, even though her parent wouldn't have prevent her from reading them. She looked at the cover of the book and scanned through the pages. "I'll return it when you visit us." She said as she pushed the book into her bag.
"Sure, take your time!" he said in return.
The door was nocked, and a house elf came in "Excuse me young master, young miss."
"What do you want?" said the young Malfoy.
"Lunch will be served in about five minutes, young master." Answered the house elf, then he disappeared with a clap.
"Let's go. Mum wouldn't like it if we were late for lunch." Draco said as he returned the library to it's normal side and walked to the door.
The four were sitting on the dinning table eating in a delightful way. "What do you think of the food?"
"It's delicious." Camellia said.
"It tastes amazing, Mrs. Malfoy." Added Zaya.
"Just call me Narcissa, darling." She said as she smiled at the girl sitting next to her son. "I'm glad that Draco didn't go to Durmstrang, he wouldn't have met a friend like you."
"Durmstrang? Why would he go there?" Asked Mr. Alvis.
"I wanted him to go there, since Durmstrang takes a far more sensible line than Hogwarts about the Dark Arts. Durmstrang students actually learn them, not just the defence rubbish Hogwarts do. But Narcissa didn't want him to be so far away from home." Mr. Malfoy said.
"Muggle-borns aren't allowed in Durmstrang. My father hates muggles so he didn't want me to interact with muggle-borns." Draco whispered to Zaya.
"Why though?" She asked in a whisper?
"I don't know." He answered.
After finishing lunch the desserts appeared on the table. All kinds of desserts, mostly chocolate desserts. "Chocolate is Draco's favorite." Narcissa explained, making Zaya smug at the embarrassed Draco.
Soon later everyone finished their dessert. Changed their clothes to something more suitable to the muggles and stood under the fireplace to go to the muggle world. They decided that they would look around in their 'Amusement Parks' and maybe ride few of what they had there. When they got to the amusement park, which Narcissa and Lucius went to before on a date because of Lucius losing a dare, Draco and Zaya were too excited even though they didn't show it on their faces. It's their first time in the muggle world and they're going to do muggle stuff!
They saw a roller coaster and headed to it. As they got in their chairs Lucius mumbled that coming to the muggle world is a stupid idea, ignoring the fact that everyone else is enjoying their time. They stayed in the 'Amusement Park' longer than they thought. It's almost dinner time and they didn't go back to the wizarding world yet.
"How about we go back home now? It's almost dinner time you should come and have dinner with us too!" Narcissa said.
"We should go back, but let's leave having dinner for another time." Mr. Alvis answered.
"I agree with you for the first time." Lucius said. "The kids look tired after all." He added after Narcissa's glare at him.
They went to a dark corner and said goodbye to each other. The families held each other's hands and the men transported their families to their homes.
Zaya opened her room's door and threw herself on the bed, smiling. 'This was an amazing day' she thought. She grabbed her bag and took the book out of it. 'Love story' it was titled. She wondered as she put it under her pillow if she would have a love story in her life. She had her eyes on someone, yet she didn't want to make any rash moves that could destroy their current relationship. 'It's better if I ask for advice'
She thought. Little did she know, her life would have a lot of love in it. Little did she know, that love may destroy many things and cause a lot of hatred and sadness. Little did she know, that someone's eyes were looking at her. She was young, only 11 years old going to be 12 very soon. Yet, in the wizarding world, there is no such thing as 'young to love'.
