Soon, I became comfortable with my new home, although I suffered from extreme heat every day. At night, I lay in my bed, looking at the vent right across from me and trying to fall asleep. Often, I would hear rats scurrying around inside of the walls. I'm quite sure they're also eating my food - as I found chucks missing, and even the milk carton was open and drunk from. I put traps, poison, anything, but they wouldn’t go. I decided that I would have to live with them, but with a lock on the refrigerator. Strangely, the carpet got dirty no matter how much times I cleaned it, and there were even shoe marks on it! I know that I don’t walk around my apartment in my shoes. I decided that someone broke In, and called the police. After a thorough searching, they suddenly found a huge piece of skin, which scared the lights out of me - it had an about 12 cm area!
After a couple of days, the police sent me an evaluation. Fortunately for them, the skin had a thumb fingerprint. The evaluation showed that the skin belonged to a man who had been buried a couple of weeks ago. This was extremely strange, so I decided to sleep on it. After about two hours of tossing and turning as if the bed was made of needles, I wasn't able to fall asleep. I kept staring at the vent, trying to bore myself into sleep. As if on purpose, thoughts whirled nonstop around in my head, not giving me any peace. I thought about my parents, my new house, and my new dog. I got a Labrador named Musu a short time ago as a fresh start and to keep me company. My hand was hanging down from the bed, and he licked it affectionately. I slowly started drifting off to sleep, and for a second, I thought I saw a human figure standing in front of my bed.
