Upon waking up, I discovered a message sprawled on a paper next to me. I was afraid to read it, my eyes avoiding to look down at the small paper. With all the strange things happening around me, I wondered wether this had anything to do with that disgusting peice of skin that didn't belong to me. I was truly afraid to simply read a sentence. I felt as if the paper was calling me, seducing me to look at it. I knew: curiosity always beats fear in a human. Finally, I couldn't resist the temptation and read it: "Humans can lick too."

I sat on the bed, wrapped in blankets and shivering of fear. Looking around, my eyes darted from place to place, afraid of what they’ll see. They stopped at the now familiar vent. Inside, as always, rats scurried around. I've never seen them myself, and was curious on how they look, so I made the mistake of looking into the vent. As I squinted into the darkness, I saw different things: dirt, a wrapper, mold, socks, blood, a finger…wait, what?
-“Ahhh!” -I screamed, jumping away. What shocked me were the eyes. They seemed to be floating in the darkness, and one of them winked, as if trying to be cheerful. But these eyes could not be cheerful: for they were crazy, mad eyes.
