W. squints his eyes in annoyance as the sun shines in from his blinds, straight into his good eye. After tossing and turning for a couple of minutes, the blue-eyed male throws his comforter to the side and sets his feet onto the wooden floor. He walks over to his closet and throws his comfortable outfit: a black tank top and khaki shorts. As he makes his way out of the door, a large weight knocks him down to the floor.
“You’re awake! Why do you sleep in so loooooooong?! I want to bake today, and since you’ve never baked, I want you to bake with meeeeeeee!”
“Mowow. Please get off of me. It’s too early for this.”
Mowow gets off of W., allowing the male to breathe once more. Before W. can say anything, Mowow grabs his hand and heads into the kitchen, much to the turquoise-haired male’s dismay.
“You eat breakfast. I’m going to pick up some supplies for the baking. Maybe I’ll even invite Jake. You should invite Max. It’ll be fun.”
Mowow grabs their keys before opening the door. The turn back one last time to look at W.
“I’ll be back, W. Don’t miss me too much.”
“Didn’t plan on it.”
W. rubs his eyes before heading to the cabinets and grabbing a bowl and a box of cereal. He takes a spoon from the drawer, along with the milk, and heads to the table in the center of their kitchen. As he’s eating, he remembers what Mowow told him and he immediately takes out his phone.
“Hey, Max. Mowow’s in a baking mood, again. They’re bringing Jake and I was wondering if you’d like to come as well.”
“Sure. I’d love to. When do you want me there?”
“Mowow’s getting ingredients at the moment. If you want to head over now and just chill
out, that’s fine.”
“Alright. Heading out now. See you in a bit.”
“See you.”
W. tosses his phone to the side before standing up.
“I guess I should tidy the place up for baking.”
The blue-eyed male grabs various sized pots, pans, cooking utensils, non-stick spray, and left-over ingredients from previous baking sessions. Cupcake and Cocoa, Mowow and W.’s Rottweiler and golden retriever, stands behind W.; tilting their heads at what one their masters is arranging. After setting everything out, W. sits down on the couch, waiting for either Max or Mowow to arrive.
A honk brings W. out of his train of thought. He, along with his two faithful companions, runs out the door. As he approaches the vehicle, Max steps out, a small smile on his face.
“I’m not too late am I?”
“No. I don’t know how you could be late to being early.”
Max lightly punches W. on the shoulder before running inside the house. Cupcake and Cocoa jump with joy at the sight of the somewhat foreign stranger. As W. steps into the house, he follows his friend up the stairs, and into his room. When the blue-eyed male walks into his room, he finds Max digging through his box of Wii games. W. chuckles before sitting down on his bed.
“What are you doing.”
“Finding something to do while we wait for Mowow.”
Max’s eyes light up as he lifts up a certain game from the large box. W. looks at the game, only to cringe in disgust.
“No way.”
“Please?”
“Not happening.”
“Pleaseeeee?”
W. looks into Max’s puppy eyes before giving up and allowing him to put the game disc in. Max tosses W. a controller before standing up and striking a pose.
“I’m so gonna kick your ass.”
W. rolls his blue eyes before smirking and flicking his friend’s forehead.
“You’re on.”

Mowow walks into his house, Jake in tow. When Mowow tries to spot his turquoise-haired friend, he’s only met with eerie silence. The two of them head up the stairs and find W.’s door opened a crack. They open the door and immediately don’t regret doing so. In front of them stands W. and Max playing Just Dance. W. turns toward his door and falls down while blushing. Max fist pumps before shrieking at the sight of Mowow and Jake.
“O-oh. Hi Mowow, J-Jake.”
Mowow smirks before walking back to the kitchen with Jake. Max and W. quickly clean up before shuffling to the kitchen. When they walk in, Mowow still has his shit eating smirk on his face. W. quickly glares at the boy before opening the cookbook sitting on the counter. As he lands on a certain page, he smirks at Mowow, causing the boy to become uneasy.
“So while you and Jake were taking your sweet time fucking, I picked out things we could work on.”
Mowow glares at the boy, a small blush on his face. W. smiles innocently before continuing.
“Jake, Mowow, you two are going to bake a rainbow layer cake. Max and I are making rainbow heart cookies.”
“Wow. What’s with all the rainbow themed stuff?”
“Why not?”
“Fair enough.”
W. hands Mowow and Jake the recipe sheet before grabbing Max’s hand and walking him toward the other side of the room, immediately starting on the cookies. Jake takes the sheet from Mowow and reads off the recipe.
“We need 2 boxes Betty Crocker SuperMoist vanilla cake mix, 2 cups water, 1 cup vegetable oil, 6 eggs, and 2 packages Betty Crocker classic gel food colors. There’s a recipe for Buttercream frosting. I’ll do that if you want to make the actual cake.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“W., what do we need for the cookies?”
“¾ cup unsalted butter, 1¼ cups confectioners’ sugar, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, pinch of salt, 3 egg yolks at room temperature, 2 ½ cups cake flour, food colors, sprinkles, and egg wash.”
Max pulls the required ingredients out before starting on the first step.
The four of them look at their creations, trying not to look at the large mess they’ve created. Mowow chuckles while scratching the back of his neck.
“They look good. The kitchen, not so much.”
W.’s eyes brighten as an idea appears in his head. He grabs a handful of leftover batter before throwing it at Mowow’s cheek.
“If it’s dirty already, why not just have fun?”
Mowow stands in shock before grabbing the dough and tossing it at W. Jake and Max look at each other before smirking and grabbing dough themselves.
“On three. One. Two. Three!”
All four of them toss the leftovers, not caring about the future mess they would have to clean up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
W. chuckles at the sight before him: his three friends covered head to toe in batter, along with the whole kitchen. The other three stand up and grab rags, ready to clean up the horrendous mess.

After cleaning up the mess, W. and Mowow realize that the four of them need to clean up. W. looks to Max before grabbing his hand and leading him back to his room. Mowow does the same to Jake.
As W. and Max walk in, W. immediately grabs a towel and a spare set of clothes before shoving the brown haired boy in the bathroom.
“You need to shower. You’re covered in batter.”
“What are you, my dad?”
W. glares at Max before walking back to his bed and opening a book. Max smirks before walking into the bathroom and closing the door. After Max finishes showering, W. hops in after. The two males now sit on the floor, a Tic-Tac-Toe board in front of them. After W. sets down his winning piece, Max falls back onto the floor.
“Do you want me to take you home?”
“I drove here, myself.”
“Doesn’t mean I don’t need to make sure you get home safely.”
“…Fine.”
As W. grabs Max’s keys, deciding he would drive, Mowow pops up with a sleepy Jake behind him.
“You taking Max home?”
“Yeah. Jake looks sleepy. You taking him home?”
“Yep.”
The two roommates say nothing else as they head to the vehicles: Mowow’s motorcycle and Max’s car.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As W. drives in Max’s neighborhood, he notices that the green-eyed male had fallen asleep.
“I didn’t know baking was such a hardship.”
W. pulls into his friend’s garage. Not wanting to wake him up, W. takes Max house key and carries Max bridal style. After spending a few seconds trying to get the door unlocked, the blue-eyed male finally walks into the small house. Having already been over before, W. immediately heads to Max’s room and places the male on his bed.
“Thanks for coming over. Sleep well.”
As W. is about to close the door, he hears loud shuffling. He looks behind to see Max on his bed, look at him with a sleepy smile on his face.
“Thanks for having me.”
W. grins before closing the door, walking out of the house, and locking it. As soon as he reaches the end of the driveway, Mowow pulls up on his motorcycle.
“Need a ride?”
“Why, yes. Thank you.”
W. hops on and the two of them drive back to their secluded household, ready for tomorrow.
