Being in a car with three men that were around my age and not related to me, was very uncomfortable and unsettling to me.
We had been driving for quite a while now. I wasn't quite sure when we were going to get there. I had never been to the hospital before, only to the pediatrician.
Dark was driving, Wolf was beside him in the front seat, and Arlo and I were in the back.
I sat on the left side of the car and Arlo sat on the right. He had his feet propped up onto the car console to support his leg.
It was very quiet. Nobody was speaking. Arlo had his eyes closed, and seemed to be very relaxed. Which was quite puzzling to me. Doesn't his leg hurt?
Wolf was typing furiously on his phone, and Dark was driving very calmly, taking his time. Not rushing, very nonchalant.
I didn't understand what was happening; Arlo had severely injured his leg. Nobody was even acting like they cared, not even Arlo himself.
I wanted to say something but I was way to petrified and shy to say anything. I put my hands in my lap and looked out the window.
I didn't know where we were. I didn't recognize this place at all. This wasn't anywhere near my house. Which was weird. I mean, there had to be a hospital around where I live.
Wolf turned around and looked at me. My reaction was to immediately look away from him.
"We'll be there soon." He said. I nodded my head.
Shouldn't he be telling someone else that? I mean I wasn't the one with the injured leg.
I felt like we weren't going to the hospital.
The car suddenly swerved in the road. I grabbed on to seat of the car and my arm rest.
Dark began to drive very fast, accelerating faster every second. The window was down, so I felt the immense pressure of the wind blowing in my face.
I closed my eyes, my worst fear was getting into a car accident. I've never been involved in one, however I knew the fatal results that could occur.
I opened my eyes, and to see that we were heading in the direction of a grassy area with tall trees scattered all over. I realized it was a forest. My breathe quickened.
I had no clue where we are, at least when I was lost by myself I was near civilization and people. Now we are heading into a forest that didn't seem so child friendly. It wasn't the same kind of feeling as if you were to go camping.
My heart was pounding against my chest, I felt like I was going to explode. Sweat dripped from my forehead. It was so hot, and I was wearing a winter jacket. I zipped my jacket open, but stopped after that because I had my seatbelt on and I was definitely not going to take that off.
I turned my head around to see what was behind us but it was deserted. There were no cars, no houses, just a few trees that were leading to the forest.
How did we even get here. When I closed my eyes I must have missed it. I turned around back and saw that we had now just entered the forest.
"No, stop, I don't want to do this, stop the car!" I said, but the noisy wind coming from the window blocked my speech.
I had realize during the past two days that you can never experience true pain-stricken horror and terror, until your put in a life or death situation like this.
Now that we were in the forest, Dark thought it was a really good idea to go even faster. There were trees everywhere. All I could see was green and brown. I heard cracking of branches as we drove on top of them.
I screamed, once the car began to bounce up and down. The forest floor was not so smooth. There was branches, grass, humongous logs and dirt all over. It was also very slippery and wet because of the melted snow.
A big tree was ahead, Dark speeded up again. I yelled, I thought he was going to crash into it, but he turned left into a big dirt puddle. The car window on my side got painted with muddy icy water and since the window was open I got bathed with dirty, cold water.
Dark drove around all the trees and went deeper into the forest. My heart beat had increased tremendously. I tried to wind the window up, but it was on lock.
I didn't understand fully how I even got in the situation. I wasn't even scared of dying from Dark and his friends anymore. I was just hoping to stay alive and not get into a car accident because of this madman.
The car speeded along, through all the trees and when I saw what was up ahead, my heart nearly caught in my mouth.
There was a stair hill, that was like a ramp going up, covered with moss and vines. The worst part of it was that it was steep, very steep and from the looks of it Dark was heading straight toward it.
"No, no, no!" I yelled.
But Dark payed no attention. I looked at him through the rear view mirror. His posture made him like he was in unperturbed, relaxed state. But...
Those eyes, couldn't hold his emotions. One hundred percent chance of thunder and lightning, no sunlight.
His eyes met mine but instead of looking away, I stared back. He looked like he was questioning me with his eyes, but I couldn't answer. After all, we speak with our mouth not our eyes. Right?
I looked away first, he was too intimidating and threatening to stare at for too long.
The car suddenly bumped up, we were now propelling up the steep hill. The car was going straight up without any problems. I was just praying that the car wouldn't flip over because the hill was too steep.
There seemed to be no problems, until the car started to go backwards. A petrifying screech left my mouth. The car drifted backwards, but the car got stuck somehow, unto the rocks. Dark took that opportunity to press on the pedal, and we began to go forewords again. When the car got to the top of the hill, we went straight in the air.
It was almost surreal, I didn't even had time to react, scream, or even move. Because as soon as we came up, we came straight down. Hard.
The car came crashing down on the ground and magically landed on all four wheels.
I let out a breathe of air and held my head, feeling very nauseous. Nobody was affected by the fact that we almost died. Dark just continued to drive like a psychotic maniac. Making twist and turns, until he finally reached a place in forest with thick dark green vines hanging side by side.
He stopped the car for a couple of seconds before driving slowly through them.
What was beyond those vines took my breathe away. It was a beautiful castle of some sort. The bottom half of it was a dirty dulled down gold color. The top half was a dark-bluish black with white around the edges. There is a gate that guards it with statues against it, spread out next to each other. It was exquisitely stunning.
This was all hiding in the middle of a forest. I couldn't describe what I was feeling, maybe it was because I didn't know what I was feeling.
What is going on? That's what I have been asking myself the whole time.
Dark stopped the car once we reached the gate. He winded down his window, which had been up the whole time.
He pressed the buzzer.
"Hello, how may I help you today." The person through the machine spoke.
"It's Dark." Dark spoke with his thick, mellow voice.
The voice was quite for a moment.
"Please scan." The voice spoke.
Dark stepped out of the car and stood in front of a small scan machine. He put his face close, and stood still.
The machine scanned both of his eyes, and turned green. The gate made a weird noise and then opened.
Dark stepped back into the car and drove through the gates. He stopped at the front, and turned the car off.
He looked back at me.
"Where here." He said flatly.
"That was fast." Wolf said. I whipped my head toward him. He stretched his arm like he had been sleeping for a while. Was he? I didn't notice, I was to busy screaming my head off.
I looked at Arlo, to see him, looking back at me with no expression. Was no one affected by Dark's unsafe, dangerous, life threatening driving?
Wolf was the first person to step out of the car, after that Dark followed. Wolf and Dark then helped Arlo get out. I guess his leg really did hurt, but this wasn't the hospital.
I hated this, all of this confusion.
"Come." Dark said. I really wanted to punch him in his face, but instead of walking toward him, I threw up.
My legs gave out and I came crashing to the ground.
My head came in contact with the ground and my vision blurred. I closed my eyes, as if that would help me escape. And I guess it did for a while. I slowly became unconscious. The last thing I saw were feet, but they weren't coming toward me. They stayed right were they were.
.....****.....
I woke up, or I though I woke. I couldn't see anything, it was pitch black. I tried to move my arms but I was being restricted. I couldn't move, any part of my body. I began to freak out, I felt like I couldn't breathe.
I moved my head back and forth. I then felt something on my head.
"Relax." A voice whispered.
I felt a hand come over my eyes, and move something away. I could then see again, it wasn't bright but dim.
I looked up and found myself staring at a middle aged man, with dark green eyes and a bald head.
"See, all better now?" He asked.
"Wha-"
"I bet your really confused and wondering where you are right now."
"Where, what-"
"Your in the doctor's office, your friends brought you here. My name is Fergo James, it's nice to meet you."
The doctor's office? Wasn't I just at a castle?
I looked down at myself. I am strapped down to the chair, I can't move my body. My legs were cuffed to the chair and so was my arms, along with my body.
What type of doctor's office is this?
"Can you tell me what your name is?" Fergo asked.
"Wintry." I said hoarsely.
"Water?" He asked.
"No." I replied, I didn't trust "Fergo" one bit.
"You threw up from dehydration and lack of sleep."
"Why am I strapped down?" I asked the number one question I wanted an answer to.
"To keep you from moving." He said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Unstrap me." I asked tired of all this. I knew he was playing games with me.
"Just take it easy-"
"No, please just let me go. I need to leave, I need to get out of here. I-I'm scared and I want to go home. I can't do this."
"Shh calm down."
"You strapped me down and now you want me to calm down? I don't know where I am, I'm so confused and terrified. I'm not sure of anything right now. I'm not even sure if your a doctor as you say, is your name even Fergo?" My voice got increasingly louder. I was breathing wildly now.
"I think you need to take a couple of breathes, and relax yourself. Everything is fine." I wanted to strangle him. This whole experience has made crazy and violent.
I started to thrash around in the chair, but it was no use I was stuck in this chair.
"Fergo" just stood there and watched, like the jerk he is.
I stopped after a while, and caught my breath. Being strapped down was horrible, and discomfortable. Not being able to have control over yourself. It's a nightmare that you would never want to come true.
"You have some visitors, would you like to see them." Fergo put his hand on my shoulder. The way he said made me seem like a psychopath who needed to be talked to slow and sweetly.
I wanted to bite his fingers off. Then strap him down to a chair, and watch him suffer. See how he likes it.
"Who are the visitors?" I inquired, even though I already knew who they were.
"Oh, that would ruin the surprise. I'll just send them all in, ok."
All I could do was nod my head.
"Excellent."
He walked toward the door, and opened it.
Once it was open the visitors walked in.
It just so happened to be Dark, Wolf, Arlo, and to my horrifying surprise....
Marcela.
