Our friend watched us go into the night.
Until we disappeared completely.
It knew our story, but also had difficulties understanding.
It ran off in the night, glowing ever so slightly before vanishing in thin air.
We couldn't blame it.
It was hard.
But it was the truth.
The truth we bottled up so long ago, exploding as they collided with each other once again.
Absorbed into oblivion.
It was terrible and painful, but relieving in its own way.
The burden was gone and we were free.
We could go wherever we wanted to.
And so we did.
Over the horizon, out of the darkness, into the light:
walking on the sun.
