“How The…”
We were running through the forest, like we did every Saturday, Kit and I. We ran past the old cabin that was in the middle of the forest. We ran through the meadows. We were running the trail we knew by heart; that was until I stopped abruptly…
You see, me and Kit were most definitely not your average teen. We were… well different. For one, I was entwined with dark magic. Having been taught by my parents from an early age. When I entered High School I became the leader of the Occult Club there. That’s how I met Kit I suppose…
Kit realized I stopped and came running back towards me.
“What’s going on?” she asked nervously, knowing what powers I had.
“I felt a presence that shouldn’t be here coming from over there,” I stated calmly as I pointed South. “It felt like it was following us.”
Kit slowly turned towards where I was pointing…
Kit was one of the first people to join the Occult Club other than me, the leader of the club. I was going to ask Kit why she wanted to join the club, but she replied before I could even get one word out.
“You want to know why I want to join the club,” Kit smiled. “Well, it’s because I want to know more about my power.” I stared back at her dumbfounded…
Kit quickly snapped her head back towards me, she was smiling brightly. She summoned me forward, eager to show me what she had found. She lead me through a labyrinth of brush and vines. The brush opened up into a clearing with a beautiful pond in the middle. I stopped short when I noticed the beautiful creatures drinking peacefully at the pond. I looked over at Kit and she smiled at me…
Kit and I bonded quite fast after she joined the Occult Club. I tried to help her understand her power better. We hung out before, during and after school, trying out different things she could do with her power. We ended up doing everything together. We became best friends. We were inseparable…
I couldn’t believe I was staring at the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen, other than the one next to me. I was staring right at a unicorn. There was a whole pack of them just standing there like they belonged there.
“Oh my god! They’re so beautiful!” I said excited.
“I know.” Replied Kit without looking away from them.
Did I forget to mention my name is Evee.
