~ Eating food with a lot of sugar or protein will give you more energy and will improve your mood.
~ Make sure that the food you have isn't too out of date because it can make you ill.
~ Make sure you're always carrying enough food to last you a while, as you won't know how long it'll be before you find any more.
~ Canned foods are better because they take longer to spoil, so make sure you grab cans and not packets of food if you want to survive for as long as you can.
~ Share what you have evenly if you have a group, you don't want anyone to think that you're hiding it all for yourself, because that could lead to disagreements and depending on who you're with, maybe even death.
~ Always check the food before you eat it, as you won't know if it's contaminated or safe to eat.
~ Ration yourself. You don't want to accidentally eat all of your food at once and not have any left.
~ If you find a large group, request a trade for some of their food for something you have. They might not need all of their food and might need something that you don't need.
~ Try not to resort to eating anything that you find outdoors (eg. grass, leaves) but if you have no food left, it might be your only choice and could end up saving your life.
