Dana looks at her phone with the last message she received from the mystery man LostHope. Her bluish gray eyes looking at the words yesterday found below the text that indicates that this message, this opportunity, this once in a lifetime deal has slipped away and it was her own doing. A heavy sigh escapes her lips as she deletes the app from her phone for good.
Goodbye LostHope. Goodbye dreams of ever getting a boyfriend. And hello to a life of work, work and more work.
She stands up and returns to her responsibilities. Dana drags her reluctant feet down the hospital halls when she accidentally bumps into what feels like a wall, but it was actually a man.
“Oh, sorry I wasn’t looking,” Dana looks up and meets olive green eyes. For a second she has forgotten to breathe and was just lost in those mesmerizing eyes.
“Hey, you’re the girl from yesterday,” He said.
Dana’s head stops and rewinds when she finally recognizes the man who she almost karate chopped yesterday in the streets where she decided to kneel down with no apparent reason. This memory she had hoped to forget by now but it seems the universe and the greater power somewhere out there is punishing her for some reason she does not know.
“Oh...yeah…” Dana looks away in total shame.
“You seem like you’ve been through a lot. Would you want to have coffee?” He said with politeness. “I know a place nearby.”
“Let me guess, Coffee Cult?” Dana said sarcastically.
“Why, yes. How’d you know?”
WHAT IS IT WITH COFFEE AND THAT CAFE STALKING ME LIKE IT IS A FUCKING REQUIREMENT FOR ME TO HAVE COFFEE WITH A STRANGER IN THAT BLOODY COFFEE CULT PLACE OR THE WHOLE WORLD WILL COLLAPSE OR SOME SHIT!?
“Lucky guess,” What next huh!? Your secret name is LostHope!?!! “It’s quite popular nowadays.” Dana rolls her eyes and looks back at the man. This time she takes a better look at him apart from his eyes that seems to attract a lot of attention. The man stood probably about 6’2 and seems to really be athletic in build base from his biceps and strong neck. He wears a black sweater and a nice set of pants. From the looks of it, he seems to have a nice package as well.
Hold up girlie, why the fuck are you looking at his crotch like you want it for dinner? Focus.
She looks back up to his face and wonders why this handsome being is asking her out for coffee. Something must be up.
“Miss?” He calls her attention. “You don’t have to overthink all this. You can just turn me down.” He said with a kind smile.
“Sorry, I’m just skeptic and I mean, why would you even invite ME?”
“You look troubled.”
“That’s it?”
“Yes.”
I don’t buy it.
“No thanks, I’m actually working right now.” She says and starts walking away from the man. But just as she passed him a hand firmly but gently grabs her wrist. This makes Dana turn around to see a set of olive green eyes staring at her soul. His eyes are so beautiful that it prevents Dana from speaking and is just in awe with the color and beauty of it.
“Sorry, this… isn’t really a coincidence.” He speaks with caution. Making sure not to creep out the girl in front of him. “Ever since I saw you yesterday, I just couldn’t get you out of my head.” He sighs, the feeling of remorse and embarrassment building up inside him. “I followed you until you arrived at this hospital. And well, I decided I wanted to see you again and here you are.”
“Sorry what were you saying?” Dana escapes her little world for a short while to have a human conversation with this perfect being.
“I stalked you.”
“You stalked me?”
Usually, she would call security. But who would’ve known that a handsome stalker would be so flattering? Is being beautiful or handsome an excuse to do crime around this city, or was it just in her head??? Dana blinks a couple of times before she looks at the man some more.
Why do you have to be so sinfully handsome and totally my type?
She continues to appreciate the man stalking her. His set of dark brown neatly pushed back hair, his perfect teeth, his soft yet firm touch.
I should really call security. But he is just soooooooo damn hot. Dana sighs and decided to just give him her number.
“I still have work, so if you really want that coffee than you have to wait until my shift ends.” Dana takes out her phone which made the guy let go of her hand and take out his phone as well. “Sent.”
“Received.” The guy sighs. “I didn’t think you’d allow me to even be near you.”
“Me too.” She sighs to herself. “I’m Dana.”
“Leon.”
It was late in the evening when Lei escaped her dorm unseen to meet with Heath in the Library. The university’s library is huge and for a good reason too since Charles University is one of the top schools around the globe. Ranking 3rd in Academics, Charles-U has its perks. One of it’s perks is the library that stood high and wide. It also closes at 10PM.
Heath is standing in front of the entrance that is now dimly lit. He spots Lei and waves at her. After meeting up, the couple hurries at the back of the library, avoiding lighted areas and the security that makes his rounds at this time of night. Finally they reach a half open window that Heath has purposely left opened during his afternoon studies. He helps Leilynn up and later joins her inside. Both unseen and inside the premise.
“So...library, huh?” Leilynn did say anywhere. Now what’s left is the however part. She swallows her saliva before holding Heath’s hand. “Have you...umm… did it with anyone in the library before?” She wasn’t quite sure why she had asked.
“Nope. You’re my first car sex and future library sex. I just usually bring the girls I have sex with in my room.” He looks down at the tiny girl. “You’ve been my first for a lot of things actually.”
It wasn’t a romantic or poetic set of words but Leilynn felt her cheeks burn at what Heath just said. To be his first even if it was in this way. “That’s good and all but… is it doing...you know… the forgetting about her part?” Lei looks up at Heath and meets his eye.
“Yes. Right now. All my head is thinking about is how I can finally fuck someone in the restricted area and leave like a lot of mess for the librarian to find the next day.” He smirks. His angelic voice being paired by such a devilish look was like ecstasy to Leilynn and all she can think about is how this will all end up. How messy would he leave her this time around?
First car sex, now this. Leilynn had never thought of herself to be involved in such sexual activities. But for Heath, she would probably do anything with him.
“Let’s go?” Heath looks at Lei who nods in return, “Good girl.”
Inside the famous cafe called Coffee Cult is a set of strawberry blonde hair having coffee with a man in his late 30’s. The waitress comes by and serves them both seafood pesto and a pitcher of homemade lemonade. Just as the food is set in front of Dom, she immediately digs in without a second to waste. The man in front of her just sighs before checking his expensive golden white watch.
“So why did you call me here at this time of night?” He looks at Dom, a bit annoyed with how she devours the pasta like a savage rather than a lady. “Don’t tell me you just needed someone to buy you dinner.”
“Bingo,” Dom said while drinking. “I knew you’d be in town for business and I knew you just can’t say no to your little sister~ ”
“ADOPTIVE sister, which I regret every day.” He sighs.
“You say that~ but I know you love me,” Dom winks at her adoptive older brother Darius Scott, CEO of Scott Enterprises, the leading manufacturer of the well-known drink that is quite popular with the millennials. He is half Korean half Irish. His handsome looks made him one of the most handsome rich men to ever walk the earth. But it wasn’t his looks that got him where he is. This man has achieved his status with hard work and aggressive determination to get what he wants. Darius and Dom met in her very first sugar daddy dating site but agreed not to have an sb/sd relationship (Sugar Daddy/ Sugar Baby). They ended up to be quite close to each other and Dom has always relied on Darius for advice whenever she felt lost. But Darius is still the CEO of his own company that he founded the same year he met Dom 7 years ago. “So how’s Markus?”
“He just started school and he seems fine. Loren is doing a good job being his mother.” Darius starts eating his meal while they catch up.
“That’s nice. At least she ended up being a good mom despite her insecurities and thirst for drama.”
“Hey.” Darius scolds Dom.
“Just saying.”
“And what about you?” He raises his glass and orders for a refill. “I just got in town and you’re already making headlines. What’s that all about?”
Dom was quiet for awhile before she finally replies with a snappy tone, “It’s his fault for lying.”
At this point Darius just sighs and decided to eat while Dom does the same. He’s been watching over Dom since her first sugar daddy to the next ones. He also knew how strange it was for Dom to be attached with a sugar daddy that it lasted for 2 years. Usually Dominique would have a 3-6 months arrangement and then move on to the next. Darius also knew how Henry Silverstone was like when he got to meet him in some events. So he couldn’t help but feel responsible for her in some areas. Darius knew what she went through and he even offered help that could get her back to pursuing her dream. But every single time he treats her out and check up on her when he’s in town for a business trip, she would always look more lost than the last time they saw each other. It worries him. But now that he has a kid and a wife, he just can’t prioritize her anymore like he did before.
“Thanks for the meal.” Dom stands up. “You’re looking better lately Darius. Like you’ve finally got what you deserved.” Dom smiles at him. “You’ve always ALWAYS been kind to me and I’m glad you’re living a life you deserve.” She then takes her leave without giving Darius another look and leaves the cafe. Dom kept walking, knowing that the moment she hesitates, Darius will notice and he will come after her. So she kept her head low and walked away. But just as she turns to the corner of Coffee Cult she collides with a person which sends the both of them to the ground.
“I’m sorry! Are you okay?” Dom quickly picked herself up and offered a hand to the stranger. Just then, the man looks up and revealed his dark mysterious features. He had a chiseled jawline and his eyes were blue, covered with a nice set of glasses. The man Dom bumped into was none other that the famous Afro-french novelist Terry Lefebvre. This handsome gentleman was featured in all kinds of 25 Sexiest Bachelors segments all over the media so his face is nothing, if not well-known. But Dom knew him more as the author of her favorite novel, Dream World.
Terry graciously takes her hand and stands up when he is pulled. “No it’s okay, I was busy looking at the buildings so it was my fault for not looking.” He said. “Are you okay?”
Dom still couldn’t believe she just bumped into her favorite book’s author. “I’m fine. Thanks for asking.” Suddenly she felt like she was 13 again with the weird butterflies fluttering inside her stomach.
So this is what starstruck feels like. “Are you okay? Like I didn’t bruise you anywhere??? It was a pretty bad collision.”
“Aces.” Terry takes a good look at the girl in front of him and found her really attractive. “You might not know me, but I’m actually an author.”
Oh darling, I know who you are. I have all your series novels and short stories in an altar somewhere in my room back home.
“So I was wondering if you can enlighten me for a cup of tea?” He looks at the cafe nearby. “Coffee Cult, that sounds interesting enough. What do you say?”
No way I’m going there where Darius would be able to see me. That’s a big NO in the Big Bro Code.
“I just had coffee there actually.” Dom said a bit reluctant to his generous offer.
“I see.” Terry said with a hint of disappointment in his voice.
“But I know a nice ramen shop nearby that serves great tea.”
“Splendid.”
The two walk away side by side underneath the cloudy skies of Evolon City, covering the moon as it hides those that doesn’t want to be seen.
From afar is a rapid sound of camera shutters. The camera focused on the pair walking side by side; following the two from the shadows. Just as Dom and Terry enter the Japanese restaurant, a fist meets with the camera’s lens as it smashes it to the ground with the photographer behind it. The man taking photos is now unconscious, where the man who punched the camera kneels down to removes the sd card from the device, and snaps it into two.
The moon peeks from the clouds and reveals a tall man wearing a nice black coat who was worn by none other than, Darius Scott.
“I’m not one for over-protectiveness. But you should really stop following her around.” Darius kicks the man one last time before gracefully disappearing into the dark streets of Evolon.
