I grabbed it, and tried to get it off me, but the person grabbed my wrist, and holds it strongly away from my mouth. "Shhh" I hear, and freeze up. What is happening?? I shouldn't have trusted him.
Then, I heard footsteps. They were very quiet, but I could still hear them. Then, they stooped, and all I could manage to hear, is my own heartbeat, and someone's breath down my neck. There's a loud bang against metal, and I flinch.
What is going on?? Where am I!? Who is holding me, and who is banging?? Thoughts and questions are flying through my mind like bees in a hive. But then, there is a sudden stop. I hold in my breath, and all the noise stops. There's sounds of footsteps walking away, and then complete silence.
The person holding me, lets go, and I take a deep breath. I quickly walk over to the other side of this box kinda thing, and turn around. Taking my phone out of my pocket, and turning the flashlight on, I see the guy that brought me here. "What was that!?" I say, almost yelling at him, but he calmly takes a step closer, and says "'That' was a person trying to get in." I roll my eyes at him, and start asking more questions.
"I got that, captain obvious, I'm saying, who was it, why did you shove me in here, what is this place, and WHY was he trying to get in??" He stepped closer to me again, and said "One question at a time. Who was it, I have no idea, but he looked like someone's bodyguard or something. I shoved you in here, because I'm pretty sure you would prefer this, over being caught by some guy. This is a storage garage, and he was trying to get in, because he wanted you for some reason. I mean, he was the one who was following you."
Every time he answered, he took a step closer. Now, keep in mind, this storage garage is pretty small, and by now, he is right in front of me. He slams his fist right next to my face, and brings his face closer. What is going on?? "Now I have a question for you. Why was someone like that following you? What did you do this time?" His voice is deep, and controlling. I just stare into his eyes and try to think of what to say. "I-I don't know. I haven't gotten out of my house for a while..." He keeps me in the same position, and asks "Maybe you know this guy, or know who hired him?"
I start to answer his question "I'm not sure, I didn't see his-" but I stopped myself. It's like something snapped inside me. Why does he care?
I push him away from me, and seeing his surprised face, say "Hold on. What's it to you? It's not like he was after you." Walking over to the door of the storage garage, he said "He looked dangerous, and if someone like that is following you, and sees me, we're both dead."
Wow. And for a second I thought he cared about others at least a little. "Not my fault you decided to hang around me." He opened the door, and walking out said "If not me, you would already be dead. Twice." I guess I can't argue with that... I walk out, and look around the place. Near by, I see a big house, and look back at the boy.
"Is that your house?" He looks back at me and says "You kidding? There's no way I would lead you and some creep to my house." "Then you just hid us on some random person's property?? What if we would get caught?? I would blame this all on you and run away." He rolled his eyes, and whispered "Of course you would."
I glare at him, and start walking back. "Where are you going?" He asked, and walked after me. "Home. Don't follow me, nameless." He laughed, and didn't stop following after me.
"Nameless? Seriously?" I was starting to get a little mad. "Yes, nameless. If you have a problem with that, you might as well tell me your name." He walked up next to me, and said "Nah, I'm fine. I don't even know if we will ever see each other again. If I don't tell you, hopefully, we won't get to." Jerk.
"Fine then. I might as well, pretend like you're not there. I mean, that's what you want isn't it??" I start walking even faster, and realize that he stopped. I'm still pretty angry, but I still stop, and look back.
His expression is unreadable, and his eyes are looking at the ground. "Devin." I'm so surprised, I say "Huh?" He rolls his eyes, puts his hands in his pockets, and starts walking towards me.
"My name's Devin."
