Heavy was the rain and heavy was the drama underneath the dark clouds forming into the wicked storm Gloria that is said to hit the country. But the city is just as loud and noisy about who is on top and hot around the area. Hailed in every corner of the city is the notorious lady with a nude scarf who has been spotted with one of the famous bachelors out there in this present age.
Dom is having tea with Terry in one of Evolon City’s finest restaurants. The people around her is still talking about the scandal, and her male author friend, he doesn't appreciate the looks people gave her. He has witnessed people bash her and give her nasty looks for the past couple of times he took her out. And it was about time he talks to her about it. They've been seeing each other for a month now and the city hasn't forgotten what she has done at all. It was still a top story passed around. The scandal just doesn't want to die down anytime soon.
“Dom,” Terry clears his throat. “I've been meaning to ask you something.”
“Yeah?” Dom simply takes another sip of her Oolong tea.
“It has happened a lot, but why does this city hate you? And… You don't seem to mind it at all.” Terry watches Dom as she casually takes a brownie from the plate in front of her.
“I told you already, I ruined a rich family's fortune or whatever and people loves gossiping about it and taking their lament out of me.”
“Lament?”
“Oh you know, their grief and shit. They can't deal with it so they hate me instead.”
Terry looks at the woman in front of him. He was in awe at how Dom thinks about the world and life in general. It must have been his author side that drawn him into Dominique's way of life. How strange and peculiar it is to have a young woman with her looks to be so wise and undesirable at the same time. But it was his guilty pleasure. That is why he still takes Dom out to little dinner and lunch dates here and there to know more about her strange ways and what makes her tick.
Dom notices the silence. All this time she still hasn't told him about her secret fandom towards his book. She never found the right opportunity and was actually too shy to ask.
It was weird. For all this time Dom had forgotten to feel this weird shyness to anyone. She's been with important people before but it was strange for her to be having tea time with her favorite author.
It must be… Because I wanted to be like him…
The thought comes across Dom’s mind and she felt scared for the first time in 7 years. She had mastered fear and had no shame from the moment she chose this lifestyle. But now she was scared of rejection or losing Terry’s interest. For the past month that they have went out to different restaurants and cafes, she was actually careful for the first time in a long time. She wanted to make sure that Terry wouldn't fall out of interest and just disappear. And for some reason, she was starting to hope.
Hope? No no no no… that can't be right.
Dom discourages the idea of ever hoping again. It can't happen. Not to her. Not anymore.
“Dom?”
“Y-yes?”
“Come with me.”
“Like a trip?”
“Like...anywhere I will be from now on. Wherever the wind takes us. Far far away from this city.”
Dom watches Terry in disbelief. Leave Evolon City? For good? She remains dumbfounded with the idea.
“You don't have to take everyone's shit anymore. Come with me.”
Just across the street is a hotdog stand where two people share a messy cheesy bacon hotdog, while slurping down a gallon of coke. It was a rainy day but Dana wanted hotdog, and ends up bringing Leon with her; her one day stalker and now her boyfriend of 2 weeks. The couple kept cozy under Leon’s sunny yellow umbrella.
“Aaaahhh,” Dana opens her mouth and Leon feeds her the hotdog. “Mmmmm yum!” she licks her lips clean and kisses Leon on the side of his lips. “Thanks Leon.”
“You're always welcome.” Leon held his sexual desires towards his girlfriend deep inside, as he tries not to look too much on those sexy red lips. “So you sure you don't want to find shelter from this storm?”
“What storm?” Dana looks up to Leon’s olive green eyes which she admires so much.
“This storm,” Just in cue, a lightning strikes from the heavens. “It might get dangerous and I don't want you to get hurt babe.”
“Oh okay,” She randomly picks the closest thing that she can consider a shelter. “Let's go there then.” Dana points at a love motel, not really knowing what it is.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, come on.”
Dana pulls her boyfriend towards Eros Hotel.
Inside Eros Hotel are the sex adventurers Leilynn and Heath; it's been a month now, and the two hasn't stopped their sexcapades. It has become a silent agreement between the two that whenever Heath is faced with his childhood friend dilemma, they would do one of his many MANY sexual fantasies to forget about the said childhood friend. And since the Dominique fiasco hasn't died yet, so was their crazy sexventures.
In room 201, the couple is found doing a steamy hot sex inside the showers.
The shower pours down their skin as Heath tries to balance himself, while he fucks Lei against the bathroom walls. Her legs wrapped around his waist as she moans in delight with how Heath would hit her g-spot, knowing by now where it was by memory.
“Heath...mmm….ah!” Lei hasn't studied for awhile now since these daily sexual activities started. And she was so behind her studies. But fuck that, she was with the man she is falling for day by day, and she wouldn't even trade her own future for a moment of intense intimacy with Heath.
“Shh...ha...haa….almost,” He kisses her, inserting his tongue and meeting with Lei’s playfulness. He breaks the kiss for a time. “You're...haa...ha...learning how to kiss...it's turning me on…” He inserts his tongue back and the two shared a torrid kiss.
Heath was still not over Dom. And yet he could forget about everything whenever he was in a sexual high with Leilynn. He has wondered for awhile what Lei meant to him. Was she just his fuck buddy? Friend with benefits? The sex beast he was longing for? A fuckable classmate who likes him? A convenient study partner? Not like they ever had a successful study sessions. They always seem to end up having sex before they get to the next page. Somehow they’ve started to create this pattern of always finding the other person’s trigger to suddenly want to fuck the other who wasn't so horny in the first place but would give in to the horny one’s request. It was like every study topic ended up like a seductive turn of events that would lead them to sex.
But who was Lei for Heath? He could do this with any girl he likes but none of those girls would let him forget about Dom. Lei was the only person that allows him to forget about her even if it was sex. Was Leilynn that good in sex? Is she so fucking hot and seductively good that he always gets a boner if Lei would tell him to forget. Is it her submissiveness that makes him want to fuck her and break her? Heath has so many questions. But he doesn't want to think about it and just wants to fuck Lei senseless until they both forget about the world they live in.
“Lei...ha..haa...fuck….”
“Heath! Ahh! Heath!!”
Heath presses her against the wall hard and cums inside of her for the fourth fucking time this day. He let the shower run down their heated skin as they pant and catch their breath.
“Round...ha...haa…. 5?” Lei pants.
The two chuckle with their little joke and ends up taking a regular shower with a pair of giggles and laughs as they clean up.
The storm continues to brew outside and starts to look more and more ominous by the minute. The newscasters would advice the people to stay indoors and just allow the storm to pass.
But it seems like there is something else brewing in Evolon City. Something that our group of misfits will find out soon enough.
Dom looks outside the window while turning her cup around as she sinks into her thoughts to where Terry has left her to. After the author she adores invites her to escape he has a phone call and eventually excused himself to take it. Dominique LaMotte watches Terry takes his phone call.
Should I runaway with you?
She stops moving her cup and takes a napkin from the table and a pen from her pocket. It was a fountain pen Terry gave her the 3rd time they went out. Her favorite book’s author gave it to her saying he felt like it.
You don't know how much it meant to me to receive such a gift from you. But you're opening old wounds I rather not go back to. Wounds that had been healed after 7 years.
Dom starts writing on the napkin with her silly thoughts about running away.
Terry,
It was nice of you to ask me about this sweet escape and I would love to come. But there are things about me that I would rather not expose to anyone. Not even myself. Let's just say my past is not a good place for me to return to. And meeting with you this past month has done so much in my soul that I can't take it anymore.
Tears found its way out of Dom’s eyes as she folds the napkin and leaves it on the table with the fountain pen.
Then she takes off with her nude scarf and tells one of the waiters to look after Terry’s stuff as she has an emergency and needs to leave as soon as possible. And with one last look back to what could have been the sweetest escape she might have needed, Dominique turns around and leaves. Her strawberry blond hair flowing ever so gracefully as the wind blows them away. Dom could escape. Maybe she even needs it. But the moment she felt the past knocking on her heart once more she runs away. And by the time Terry come back from his phone call, she was gone. Leaving a note that gave Terry an idea that the stone cold bitch the city has come to know is nothing but a child who had given up on something she once held dear. And with the thought he folds the napkin again and puts it inside his pocket. But before he leaves, a big burly man sits the author down forcefully back to his chair.
“Hey! What's the meaning of this?” Terry looks up the burly man to see another man in a suit walking from behind him.
“Let's chat for awhile good sir.” Darius sits on the chair Dom was sitting on a few minutes ago before she took off. “Mister Lefebvre, correct?”
Terry looks at the well dressed man in front of him wearing a black suit and noticing a tattoo on his neck. “Yes. And base from the wolf mark tattoo on your neck I'm saying you're the mastermind behind Scott Enterprises.” He said as he points towards his neck. “What is it that you want from me?”
Darius lets a rather soft chuckle leave his lips before her cracks his knuckles a bit annoyed at the man in front of him.
“Simple.”
“Simple?”
“Don't come near her again.” Darius looks at Terry with a bit of a threat coming out from his sharp looking eyes. “You see Lefebvre… she's someone important to me. And your stupid little offers will only dig up some things she has buried long ago.”
“Tell me and I will fix it.” Terry said without thinking.
“Sadly not even you can fix her. Not I nor you. You are only digging up a past she rather not go back to.”
“Why not? Having a proper closure with one's past is good for everyone.”
“Maybe in your silly novels but not in real life. Not in this world. And especially not in this godforsaken city.”
The two men doesn't speak for awhile and just gages the other's motives.
“Then I'm guessing you're not here to threaten and kill me?” Terry said, carefully choosing his words.
“No.” Darius replied as he looks outside where the storm winds blowing off papers and trash all over the place. “I'm here to save you from her. You don't want to be involved anymore than this Lefebvre. She is not a woman you should get to know more than what's on the surface.
“Why so?”
“Because the moment you know more about her, is the moment you get trapped in Miss LaMotte’s web. So unless you're ready to have your whole life revolve around her…” Darius looks at Terry in the eye.
“Then I suggest you find a different muse for your silly books.”
Out in the open, the storm of Gloria starts to release her wrath in the streets. Cars start to go off and making wild noises with their alarms. Small objects to stop signs and trees yields to the storm's winds unless they go against it and end up snapping and falling, taken by the strong winds and heavy rain. With the wind’s ravaging cries and the rain falling down hard against pavement, cars and roofs, the city folk takes shelter.
Except for a woman wearing a nude scarf who finds herself enjoying the storm as she embraces the terror it holds.
Dominique LaMotte wears her headphones and looks for a song to accompany her with while she enjoys the storm hitting her every being. Her thoughts sinking to how it used to be when she was so driven with passion. How it felt to dream. Like a voice, a still small voice telling her to hope.
To be saved… it was a thought that repeats in her head over and over and over again. Can anybody save me? Is there anyone who can save me?? Dom lets the rains hit her hard as she walks down the streets of Evolon City. The song playing as she drowns into her own world. Drowning her deepest desires, her dreams, her hope. It's too late for me. She thought to herself.
No more pain in facing the reality that it will never happen. Her feet leads her to love hotel nearby as she decided to enter the premise soaking wet from the storm.
There Dom stands, feeling a bit lightheaded for some reason. She can feel the stares around her. But one particular stare made her turn to see who can look at her with such gentle intent.
“Heath?”
Her childhood stands there beside the girl in the cafe. She remembers her. Those dark seductive eyes is unforgettable after all.
Heath froze at the sight of Dom. He was successful for the past month because all he saw was pictures and videos. Not the actual person. Now he can't help himself. He wants to go to her. Now more than ever. But just as he makes one step towards her he feels a hand stop him. It was Lei, trembling beside him.
“Leilynn?” A voice comes from the other side of the room.
“Leon!” She froze in the sight of her best friend whom she hasn't seen for 2 years now ever since he left to work in the city. And now here he was with a pretty girl with model like long legs.
Dana watches the exchange. But her eyes stop at the sight of the girl she's been seeing a lot for some odd reason. Just as she thought that she was off the hook someone else comes in that made her froze.
“Dana?” Terry followed Dom despite the warning he received earlier. But instead of first seeing Dominique, his eyes stop at Dana Bleu who he has been supporting financially for the past 5 years. Loren Bleu is his cousin who needed help ever since her husband died from cancer and left nothing but debt to his whole family. He wasn't sure what to feel when he sees her niece with a man inside a love hotel.
“Shit.”
Despite the sudden meeting of relatives, friends and old friends, all Dom could hear was a gunshot--
“DOM!”
