Lips of ruby red, traced by the outskirts of darkness. Eyes outlined in night's colors. Pale-like snow mended to her flesh until she looked like a porcelain doll.
She stepped forward, the light casting its shadows about her. Directly in the limelight, she lifted her head to face it as if searching for something familiar about it. Then, either finding it or not, brought back her arms, the laced, black wrap around her shoulders fell into the crooks of her elbows.
Stone cold cobblestone bit into her bare flesh, stealing the heat from her soles. She either didn't notice or didn't care for she didn't move or look discomforted.
Nothing happened but suspense lingered in the air. Swirling around her, it expanded out catching the breathes of many others. Then, suddenly, her breast moved rapidly, her breath fast and heavy. This continued for a moment, building in tempo.
She cries out. A deep sorrow spreading out as they reach their crescendo. It pierces every corner, every nook and crany.
Hands clutched the fabric over her heart, ready to rip it in two as she hits her knees in agonizing pain.
Falling face first to the ground, she lays motionless. Her arms spread out, one stretched forward as if to reach for something. With one heavy sigh, she fully collapses to the ground, almost dead-like.
The curtains close.
The crowd cheers wildly.
The show is over.
