The past few days flew by in a blur until it was the day of my birth. Every year my mother throw a hugh party so this year was no exception. Although the parties are always great it was never filled with anyone I knew. It was always attended by my parents co-workers accompanied by their kids. This year it was princess themed to celebrate my sweet sixteen birthday, a theme that I had no interest in.
I sat on the edge of my queen sized bed in a blue hoddie and faded jean skirt with my arms folded listening to my parents argue. "Did you not hear what I said? Put dress on now and come down. Its your sweet sixteen for goddness sake. Did you see my Maryln's sweet sixteen? We have to outdo hers"
I rolled my eyes at my mother, "I said no I don't want to go I don't even know anyone there," my father gripped my shoulders, "listen to me Ari don't make this more difficult than it already is just hurry and put it on. We have to make an impression"
"I'm not going if you had actually known me you guys would know I hate dressing up and anything pink,"
"Ariana listen..."
"No you listen to me. I'm sick of you using me to keep up your apparance. Instead of just trying to impress everyone else why not try to act like a real father for once?"
In one quick motion my mother slapped me across the face causing my head to swing to the right. "Don't you dare talk to your father like that you ungrateful brat. Every year I put my heart into planning your parties just for you and this is how you repay me?"
I got up from my bed before quietly walking towards my bedroom door. "You know even though I'm made up of both your DNA it takes a real man and woman to be parents which you're not and since today is my birthday I have my first and last request," I looked over my shoulder, "As of today I want you both out of my life."
I left the house without looking back.
