Eight years has passed since that day Ikyo (now 12) asked Houmeru (now 19) why he would always looked up into the sky. Yasha (now 15 soon to be 16) and he had been arguing a lot about father's ascents all these years.
"You're nothing with father gone!" Said Yasha strongly to his brother as he was glaring at him. "That's a lie, I been fine without him, unlike you!" Said Houmeru sharply back at him after stepping towards him and stood up straight in front of him. "No you haven't, always looking up into the sky, did you know your looking at NOTHING!" Said Yasha strongly and loudly back to him. "And what have you been doing since father left, I wonder?" Said Houmeru strenly then crossed his arms waiting for him to answer as he was slightly smiling at him since he already knew the answer. "Nothing, he had his reasons for leaving us and I really don't care why anymore because if he had become anything like you than I'm glad he's gone." Said Yasha strongly but his words sounded like he was clearly upset about it even after all these years their hasn't been around as much as he was when they was little because he was always fighting in some kind of battle. After he would help win one another army would call for his help so he wasn't at home for very long. Only Houmeru was able to see him more than Yasha and Ikyo because he would him battle aside him in big battle or long one he was called to help win.
"Will you two please stop, you two been at each other nonstop more than normal!" Said Ikyo strongly almost in tears as she was watching them. "Shut up you little bitch this doesn't concern you." Said Houmeru sharply after he quickly snapped back at her without any warning. Ikyo then started crying harder before she quickly ran to her room. "Why did you call her that, she's your sister, she should be concern when she the only one that been keeping this family together for this long!" Said Yasha strongly snapping at him him sharply as he was pointing at her. "I never in my life said that she was my sister or you my brother seen your both such weak half-breeds!" Said Houmeru sharply after he looked back at him. "She is and has always been your sister and I have always been your brother so what are you talking about, what's your problem!?" Said Yasha strongly as he was pointing at his chest. "I won't in my life clamed HER as my sister EVER or you as MY BROTHER and I don't have a PROBLEM!" Said Houmeru sharply and loudly back at him getting even madder at him. "But she is!" Said Yasha strongly as he was pointing at her room again. "No she's not and I'll never say that you two are even related to me to anyone ever as long as I live ever, even if we have the same father!" Said Houmeru sharply with his hands balled up in fists by his side.
"Augghhh!!! I can't deal with you any more, everyday all the time, you been talking about nothing else but father and the battle you was called for to help him. The more you talk about him the more you start to change, your become more like how you see him during all those war with him instead of how he really is. I told you he is only like that when he's fighting, I can't deal with you anymore you use to be way nicer to be around until now. I'm leaving this place I can't stay here and continue to watch you change into such a cold-hearted person that don't care for anyone, your just pushing the one you love away from you. So I'm getting out of your life just like you what and I'm never coming back and no one can't stop me this time." Said Yasha strongly before he started to walk out the door closing it behind him without even looking back at him. Ikyo heard everything he said and quickly came out of her room to go after him. "Yasha!" Said Ikyo loudly to him after she coming after hearing him leave. Ikyo couldn't deal with losing both of her brothers beening she was alway the one the made they stay together for this long since their father started to leave them alone more and more over all the years. She would always have a smile on her face no matter how hard things was for them or how much they would figth each other after father would leave.
"Let him go, wherever he goes is not my problem, go with him if you wish to, I really don't care." Said Houmeru calmly after leaning back against a wall beside the door and started looking up and out the window beside him at some birds in the sky as he had his arms crossed. "Yasha is right you have changed… alot, the only thing that hasn't change about you is your still look up into you sky at nothing. I know you do care because I know you better than anyone, but you don't what to show it because you what everyone to see that your a strong cold-hearted person that don't care about anything or one but yourself just like everyone else in this world that father is fighting against." Said Ikyo strongly as she was looking at Houmeru sadly before she starting to cry again after putting her hands over her face. Houmeru looked downed at her and start to put his hand on her shoulder but before he could she ran out the door to try to stop Yasha that was heading into the forest. Before going any further after him she looked back at Houmeru looking at her out the window. She could see right through him that he did care and she knew her words may have been nothing to her but they was something to him that they hit him rigth in his heart because they came from her, she knew they did by the look on his face and in his eyes.
When Ikyo finally caught up with Yasha she called out to him and fell trying to run towards him. "I don't need you following me and getting hurt Ikyo so go back to Houmeru." Said Yasha strongly after he looked back at her after she quickly got up. "But Yasha… " Said Ikyo strongly as she was running towards him as he was walking away. "Ikyo you can't come with me I don't need you getting hurt more than you already are. This dam curse on us makes everything around me exploded almost all the time. That's why I have been training so much, so stay away from me because your just going to get hurt if you come with me, now go back now!" Said Yasha strongly to her after pushing her back from him before he started to head farther into the forest after she fell back onto the ground. Ikyo watched him go until she couldn't see him anymore and then she ran after him. "Yasha!" Said Ikyo loudly into the distant as she was running. After she found him a big bomb flower exploded behind him she noticed through the smoke that he had quickly jumped up into a trees and disappeared. When she tired to follow him she tripped on a tree root that was sticking up out of the ground when she got up to look for him she could see any sign of him. She would bearly go outside because the curse on her family made her always be hurting herself no matter how careful she was so she slowly started to grow scared to go outside by herself the older she got.
A year had passed since she had followed her brother into the forest, she had traveled to every village beyond the forests limits searching for him. After a few days of traveling without coming across any villages or towns she come across a village with humans and demons living in it together. All the villages she had came across before was only full of all humans or demons but never both. During her time at some of the villages she helped the villagers out with small jobs and sometimes they would give her money for her work. She found a small inn in the village with a place to eat and paid for a room and some food before she was to started back on her travels the next day. As she was eating a woman walked up to her table in the corner and sat down with her after she started talking to her. "Child you carry a very strong power of a magic within you my dear. How old are you dear, you look a little two young to be traveling all by yourself." Said the woman in a soft sweet voice as she was trying to look at her face as Ikyo was looking down at the table after she was done eating because she still had her hood over her ears.
"My mother told me I not to talk to stranger and father told me not to trust everyone but to always be nice and kind to everyone I met no matter who they are." Said Ikyo in a soft voice as she was looking down trying not to reveal her eyes to her because when she did people would start to get scared of her. "Your a half-bread, don't be so surprised child when I say this but your tails seem to have a mind or two of it own right now." Said the woman in a low soft voice then Ikyo pulled the hood of her overcoat down in front of her face more. "What are you taking adout?" Asked Ikyo nervously after she truned her head slightly to her side. "Look for your self my dear." Said the woman calmly then she smiled sligthly at her after looking back behind Ikyo. When Ikyo looked behind her she seen that her tails that was moving around on their own behind her. She quickly grabbed them and covered them up with her overcoat then quickly stood up in embarrassment holding them tightly under her overcoat before she started to walk away from the woman.
"Ikyo wait!" Said the woman in a soft voice and Ikyo quickly looked back at her revealing to her that her eyes was two different colors after. "How… how do you know my name?" Asked Ikyo in surprised back to her after stepping slightly back from her after she had got up from the table and started to walk towards her. "I helped your mother and father take care of you. You had more control of your powers when you was younger then than you do now." Said the woman in a soft voice after smiling slightly at her for a moment. "Why should I believe you?" Asked Ikyo strongly as she was looking at her sharply. "We already wasted too much time here talking, come on child. Your father been looking for you, there are men coming here for you. It's not safe for you here anymore or anywhere else by yourself." Said the woman quickly after she looked back at the door then at her with a concern look. "I don't even remember your name but I do remember your face a little." Said Ikyo calmly as she was looking at her with a puzzled look. "You always been straight to the point, my name is Mags you use to call me Aunt Magic. Now take my hand before they get here, I'll take you to your father where you'll be safe, we know you been running and hiding for a long time." Said Mags in a soft voice after she held out her hand to her. Ikyo slowly started to walk back towards her and started to reach out for her hand.
Just before she was about to grab her hand the door to the inn flew inside and hit some table after someone had kicked it in from the outside. Three men then came inside and started tossing and flipping table and chairs out of their way. Their was one man that was pretty big that was looking around angrily, Ikyo could see that he had a gold tooth in the front of his mouth after he started smiling at everyone as they was running around trying to hide. Ikyo looked at the men and her nose started to twich after she smell a strong wet dog scent from them telling her that they was the same full blooded dog-demons that had been following her. Mags quickly grabbed Ikyo wrist and pulled her under the table before he seen them. "I don't want you to let go of my hand after no matter what, I'm going to get you out of here I promise, you still trust me right?" Asked Mags seriously as she was holding Ikyo's head down onto the ground as she was looking at the doorway intensely. "I... I do, but how are we going to get out of her when he's blocking the door?" Asked Ikyo in low vocie after she nodded to her the looked back at the big guy with the gold tooth that was standing in front of the doorway as the other two was flipping and kicking table and chairs around the place.
"Like this." Said Mags calmly then she quickly grabbed Ikyo's hand and ran towards the door. "What, no wait!" Said Ikyo loudly as she was tightly holding her hand. Mags gave the man with the gold tooth a twisted smile as she was running toward him then she and Ikyo quickly disappeared in front of him. Her smiling at him had angered him more after he had seen that Mags had quickly teleported away with Ikyo. She had teleported them into the main hall of a huge castle that was far away from the inn and men. At the inn the men was looking for her and Ikyo everywhere destroy eveything within because they had been searching her Ikyo for months because the wanted her powers. "What did you do and where are we? You said you was going to take me to my father!" Said Ikyo strongly after she quickly pulled her hand away from her and fell back onto the floor. "Calm down child I needed to build up enough energy quickly enough for me to use the teleportation spell to get us both here. Running towards him like that was the only way to do quickly back their." Said Mags in a low calm voice then she reached her hand down to her but she hit it away as she was sitting on the floor crying as she was looking up at her. Ikyo then quickly got up and ran into a tall man that was dress in all white that was holding her arms to her sides. When she looked up at him she seen that it was her father after the sun behind him had disappeared from the window. She then suddenly embraced him holding him tightly in her arms not wanting to let him go as she was crying softly into his chest.
Four years has passed since Ikyo's started back on her search for her brothers she had just turned sixteen. She had left the castle just a week ago where she was living at where she was there she had learnef adout her powers and how to use them. Even though she was within the safety of the castle walls she never gave up looking for her brothers because she didn't have the strength in her heart to forget adout them or lose them to the curse on her family. Just a day ago she had came across a village that was scared of mages and anyone that was different so the village only had human in it and when they seen Ikyo's ears and eyes they ran her out. As she was walking through the forest that nigth she thought she heard her brother Yasha in the distant before she started to hear the townspeople behind her. She started running faster though the forest until she ran into the side of a big tall tree. Her arm hit the tree so hard that it dislocated it and left a black mark on the tree before she fall onto the ground after letting out a small quiet cry.
