I imagined this bit to be fitting for a trailer to a World War 1 movie.
Here, a French soldier is in his trench, cleaning his rifle during some downtime. Overhead, he hears then sees an enemy observation plane. He grabs his rifle and sets his sight on the enemy boche. He fires a shot and seconds later, he's shocked to see the plane coming down with a trail of smoke. Did his bullet actually strike the German? From behind the cloud cover, a French fighter plane is following the enemy, firing a few more rounds to ensure the kill.
