It took Zeke's panicked mind quite a bit to realize what was happening. From the sudden, nauseating pain in his eyes and the area around, to the confused yells from his boss, the entire situation was a mess. He couldn't physically see how much of a mess things were, bit he could certainly tell. Tears and blood swirled together in a warm, sticky mixture down his cheeks. The shock that was dulling most of his pain was beginning to subside, causing him to fall to his knees and scream. His own shaky hands on his face felt foreign in the darkness that consumed the boy. 

They felt the crimson on his face, then the sharpness where his eyes should've been. That didn't belong there. That didn't go there! He'd heard the faint sound of others entering to see his suffering and the muffled gasp they would utter. It was all soft under the dull rush of blood through his ears. The next thing he heard was a voice scream, someone yelling for the lights to be turned on. The minor soreness of his throat compared to the ache of his face was what confirmed it was him. He wasn't dreaming. It wasn't a nightmare he'd have Maria to wake him from. But he called anyway. 

"Turn them on! Turn them on!"  He shrieked helplessly, jumping at any slight touch. The others in the room were trying to comfort him, but were drowned out by his screams. "Maria! Turn them on!" He tried to shout once more, choking weakly on the words. The pitch black of his vision was only broken by small dots, like when you press your hands to your eyes. Eventually, Zeke was dragged into an ambulance, thank god. Someone had called the police or something. This entire situation kept anyone from noticing how the android on the table seemed to light up, almost as if there was a transfer between it and Zeke. The darkness of his eyes for the light in its own.
