Hello, Sakari here.
So today, I decided to read the first book of Warriors to Moose, he really liked it. We got half way through the second book when I heard a loud crash in the kitchen. I went to check it out, and I found Squirrel inside of the fridge, trapped.
He managed to make the food collapse in and trap himself inside. He was trying to get my pie again! The thing I'm still wondering about is how he opened the door and how he likes pie... I started to scold him when his brother came in, Squirrel was still stuck in, and Moose was laughing at him.
I cleared the food out of the way, Squirrel's brother came and started to tease him about the incident, and I took Squirrel out of there. I carried the kit bridal style and shut the door to the fridge all the while his brother kept making fun of him. I look down at Moose and sighed, I told him to stop being childish. He's becoming an adult in a year or so and he so he needs to stop being childish.
He stopped and looked up at me, his eyes shown with confusion. I looked down but smiled, I decided I shall tell them a fact that I heard of, since it randomly appeared in my mind. I set down Squirrel since he had started squirming and wiggling in my arms, he let out a puff and ran to the couch and plopped himself on it without a word.
I went over to him, setting myself near him. Moose huffed and jumped up to sit next to me, I pulled out my phone and went to Pinterest. I found the specific post I wanted to tell them about. I started to talk-
"You know the phrase 'Blood is thicker than water'?" The cat's meowed to show they knew.
"They say that family is better than friends but the full phrase or quote is 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.' And so relationships that are created by choice is holding a deeper meaning than those of biology." The cat's stared at me then stared off at a wall.
"Hmm let me share some more wise words with you kits." I looked at my phone as I moved my fingers to go to another post. The kittens looked back up at me, expecting more.
"The vugoodlack preys on only the most evil in our society, Domestic abusers, serial killers, congress men, etc. The dirtier the blood, the more he craves. Contrary to depictions in movies and books, monsters don't prey on boring people. Real monsters prey on REAL monsters. So as long as you don't become a monster, you don't have to fear monsters."
The kits looked down, their fur bristling. They looked up at me with grief stricken eyes, they must've been through something horrible.
I sighed and smiled, they don't have to worry about the things they've seen. They're staying with me now.
Signing off, Sakari Asta.
