This mall has been my stress-relieving place for a few years. It's close to my home, the interiors are good and comfy, the foods are tasty and last but not least, the girls who hang out here are nice to look at!
I came by for sightseeing in the mall again this evening, after hours. But that day was unlike any other day. The electricity in this mall had been blacked out several times. If I counted it right, the electricity had been out and back in for 5 times in less than 15 minutes.
I had a bad feeling about this.
That's when I heard noises from outside the mall. It seemed like someone was talking through a megaphone, and there's also another sound. It sounded like a helicopter's rotor.
Now, that's strange. "What did a helicopter doing outside of the mall, in the middle of the city, on a night like this?"
So, I ran towards the source of the sounds. I tried to make my way to the mall's balcony. There, from the 3rd floor's balcony, I saw a helicopter floating around. On the ground, I saw cops and army's soldiers, with guns in their hands. The mall had been surrounded. Okay, it started to creep me out.
"Attention, everyone", someone in a suit talked to us using the megaphone. I notice that so many people were there, either standing on the balcony on each floor or peeking out through the window.
"This is federal police. The mall you are in is currently in quarantine", said the guy in the suit again, which I presume was the commander. "Quarantined for what, sir?", asked the guy who stands beside me.
"Well, I guess, you deserve to know", said the commander again. "A new kind of virus has spread, and it's extremely dangerous".
"What virus?" I asked.
"For the time being, we can only inform you one thing", the commander replied, "this virus causing those who are infected, to attack and kill those who are not infected". I saw that the mall's visitors there were starting to scared and worried.
"But sir, from what I see, we don't seem to look like we're attacking each other, nor have the intention to", I said to the commander. "So, I guess we all here are not infected and safe to go out?"
"No, sir. Maybe I didn't make myself clear", said the commander again, "the infected are not the people inside". That moment the commander finish his words, I saw all cops and soldiers raise their guns and aim it towards us.
"It's the people outside".
