Last week was a horrible week for me. And also to some people who were also happen to be there at the spot of the incident. It was the most fearful scene I have ever seen in my 25 years of life. I barely even able to sleep and eat well for days because of that.
For about a month, tv and radio were broadcasting news about the killing spree of a serial killer. This serial killer was targeting children, between 16 and 19 years old. He already killed 4 victims so far.
Among all serial killer that I've been hearing about on news, this one has a killing signature that was beyond insane. He ripped the face off of his victim. Alive. When the victims were dumped and then found by the police, everything was intact, except their face's skins, and their eye balls were missing.
Police and even federal cops were in trouble in finding the killer. First of all, because he didn't have any specific type of victims. Among 4 of his victims, 2 are male and 2 are females. And each in a different type of race: 1 white male, 1 African American female, 1 Asian male, and 1 latin female.
Secondly, and this is the one aspect that made cops more puzzled, apart from taking off his victim's faces and eye balls, he didn't do anything to them. No signs of torture, no signs of sexual assault, nothing. The cause of deaths of all the victims was bleeding to death from the wounds the killer made when he ripped their faces off.
The killer, dubbed "The Faceless Children Killer", usually dumped new victims every once a week. But it had been 2 weeks now, and there was no news about the killer. People were starting to feel relieved. The killer had stopped killing for unknown reasons. But that didn't change the fact that, he's still out there. That made all parents not so much relieved because their children could still be the next victim.
3 weeks had passed, and still no news about the killer. I thought this might actually be good. My attention distracted when I heard train station officer yelling at a man who was standing too close to the railway. The officer warned him to back off since a train was about to arrive. the man looked reluctant, but then he backed off.
I recognized this man. I saw him almost every morning at this train station. He usually brings a suitcase with him, so I assume he's either going to work or to travel. But this morning, I saw him bring 2 suitcases with him, one in each hand. This man started to attract everyone's attention when he lifted one of his suitcases and seemed to talk to it. He was too far from me, so I couldn't hear anything he said. After he did the same to his other suitcase, he then put both suitcases on the floor, turned his back, and ran towards the oncoming train.
People were screaming hysterically. Many people, including the train station officer, tried to chase him, and stop him from doing anything crazy. But, too late. The man jumped in front of the oncoming train and got hit very hard. Blood and body parts were scattered everywhere on the station. People were screaming even more in horror, panic, and distress. Some fainted.
In less than half an hour, many people already got off of the station's platform, while some train station officers and workers were checking on the situation. Everything seemed to be under control when police had arrived. That's when I realized that the man's suitcases were still there where he left it, so I asked a station officer about it. They might want to report those suitcases to the police.
While some police officers were dealing with the man's dead body, some others went to check on the suitcases that the man had left. The police officers took a train station officer and some people who were witnessing the incident to the station's office, along with the suitcases. There, they decided to crack open the suitcase, because they couldn't find any keys. One of the suitcase's handle was broken, and the suitcase fell, so I instinctively catch it. Thank god I was still wearing my riding glove, so I didn't contaminate any evidence.
But it's weird, though. For a suitcase that big, it seemed very light. Almost like it's empty. "Why would a man bring 2 empty suitcases with him?", I thought.
Upon successfully cracked open both suitcases, we opened it almost at the same time. Everyone was instantly jumped and screamed in horror after seeing what's inside the suitcases.
Just like my assumption, both suitcases were empty. Well, almost empty. It only contained skins of human faces, sewn to the bottom of the suitcases. Those faces belonged to the victims of "The Faceless Children Killer". One suitcase contained 2 faces sewn to the bottom, with both eye balls attached to the eye socket.
Then I remember that moment when the man seemed to talk to the suitcases. He didn't open the suitcases back then, but at least now I know what he actually did with the suitcases.
Say, if you lift the suitcase up right and open it, it will felt like the faces that sewn at its bottom were staring right at you.
And if you were as insane as that man, you could talk to it too. If you'd like.
