"He is so checking you out," Savannah assured, looking once more over Crimson's shoulder towards Michael. Sure enough, he looked away once he saw Savannah watching him.
"You're full of it," Crimson rolled her eyes, though she couldn't ignore how much she hoped that he really was looking at her. "Him and Lily will probably get back together soon anyway."
"I doubt it. His friend broke up with her for him. Lily may have liked him before, maybe even loved, but now she probably hates him. I would," Savannah protested.
"You're right, that was a low blow. Which probably means that he's not ready to get back into a relationship. Your weird fantasies are exactly what they sound like: weird and a fantasy."
Savannah opened her mouth to retort, but was crashed into. She was sent sprawling to the floor, her books going all over the hall.
Her eyebrows furrowed, and she got ready to yell at whoever it was that crashed into her. When she looked up, however, she saw Apollo who was giving her a sincere apologetic look.
"I am so sorry," Apollo said quickly, dropping to his knees to help her up and make sure she wasn't hurt. "I wasn't watching where I was going. Are you hurt?"
"No, no, I'm fine," Savannah excused, her previous resolve to yell at whoever crashed into her gone. Nobody could be angry with Apollo.
Apollo reached for all her books, helping her gather them all back up and help her to stand up. It was only after making sure that she was alright did he continue to go to wherever it was he was going before.
"So, what do you think about Apollo?" Crimson inquired, sauntering closer to Savannah. A lot of girls went for Apollo, just for the fact that he was caring, sweet, and anything you would normally look for in a guy. Not to mention, he's top guy in class. His academic scores are crazy high.
Savannah shrugged, "Not really interested in him. He's just not the kind of person that I'd like to date."
"That's what you say about all guys that you meet," Crimson rolled her eyes. She slammed her locker shut, heading to her first class that her and Savannah didn't share. Luckily, Sage had transferred into the class.
"Hey, Crimson, can I talk to you?" Michael asked her as she was walking past. A smile lit up Savannah's face, and she shoved Crimson towards him.
She stumbled over to him, trying to keep all her books in her arms and her feet on the ground. Michael caught her before she could fall to the ground, helping to make sure that she was stable.
"Uh, yeah," Crimson said. "Yeah, we can talk."
Michael smiled, and Crimson saw the way his pearly white teeth contradicted his African-descent tanned skin.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to go to Rose Star's after school or something," Michael suggested, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. It almost made Crimson laugh. He was so confident, but he wasn't around her.
It was cute.
"Sure, Michael. I'd like that," Crimson said, a light pink dusting her already rosy cheeks.
"I'll see you after school then?" Michael asked hopefully.
"Yeah, I guess you will." Crimson walked away with Savannah who gave her suggestive looks.
But she didn't miss how Dallas watched the entire thing.
