Michael had texted her earlier that he'd be late in meeting her because he had a football meeting right after school. It wasn't like he could skip the meeting, anyway.
He was, after all, the captain of the football team.
"Who are you waiting on this time?" Dallas questioned, leaning against the brick wall next to her. The same place they were yesterday.
"My date," Crimson answered, her gaze unwavering from watching the cars leaving the parking lot and fellow students mill around the area.
There was a prolonged silence between them. Crimson didn't seem to care, however. If she had the option, she wouldn't have a conversation with him in the beginning.
"Why him?" Dallas said, breaking the silence Crimson loved dearly. "Why would someone like you want to go out with someone like Michael?"
Crimson turned to him, irritation playing on her face. "Excuse me? What do you mean by 'someone like me'?"
"You don't seem like the type of girl that wants to have a reputation of a 'good girl'. Yesterday in the mall, you were right. You're not that type of person," Dallas amended, still not looking at her. He watched the people in the parking lot, much like Crimson did.
The girl rolled her eyes, saying, "I seriously doubt you know what kind of girl I am, let alone what kind of person Michael is."
"You'd be surprised," Dallas murmured.
"Sure, whatever you say," Crimson said, once again walking away from Dallas when she saw Michael exit the school. He was talking to one of his teammates and friends, AJ.
"See you later, Nina," Dallas called out.
Crimson flipped him off, still not looking back.
