I'm currently sitting on the floor of an unorganized public library looking for books to aid in my research on gentics for biology class. While I searched through the huge pile of books scattered across the black and white checkered tiled floor the librarian pointed out to me earlier I came upon a dusty red brown leather book with the name written in a faded gold colour but the words were scratched out. At first I was going to put it aside but if you ever see a sketchy book you might as well see what's it about.
Placing the book on top of the four thick and slightly heavy textbooks I planned to borrow I made my way towards the front desk to signed them out.
"Excuse me Miss," the lady at the desk was eating a chocolate bar while watching some overly romantic show with her back turned to me. "Uh excuse me," I said a little louder. She paused the show and looked over her shoulder. I noticed that the corner of her lips and the tip of her nose was smeared with chocolate. I giggled at the thought becuase it looked like she was eating shit.
Her green eyes briefly stared at the books in my hands after adjusting the big brown round glasses on her face, "just bring them back whenever," she turned around and continued to watch her show while I simply shrugged and walked out.

The cabin was empty when I got home. Thinking I could take the moment for myself I prepared a cup of mint tea to drink while I read.
The first page was basically about finding which was unnecessary information to me. Everyone knows that most people are born with the ability to tell who they are. As kids we were taught that our mates where made for us and only a selected few could be able to find them. However as the years goes by, less and less persons are being born without the ability. No one knows why. My family is one of the oldest family that is still able to retain that ability so its only natural to assume that I have it too.
The funny thing was that as a kid my granfather told me to never mate with a Sian. They will lead to our destruction he would always say even when on his deathbed he never strayed from his believe. The last time I checked the Sian name was wiped out a decade ago by my own ancestors.
I heard the front door open and I quickly shut the book before Aaron walked in. "Hey welcome home," he gave me a small smile before sitting on the edge of the coffee table in front of me.
"Thanks," he eyed the red book in my hands, "what's that?"
I could feel my nose twitching as I smelled something enticing. A manly scent which seemed to surround me and make every cell in my body feel alive.
"Ari?" I placed a trembling hand over my nose to hide how overwhelming the scent was. To think that I would find my own mate after reading a book like that. A flashback of the time when he first smelled my neck making me realize that he knew what I was to him all along and he didn't even mentioned anything.
"You knew didn't you?" he wrinkled his brow in confusion. His blue eyes looking straight into my own. He took the book from my hands then skipped through the pages. His eyes widening as he stared at a particular page before he gave me a sad smile.
"Yeah I knew but before you overreact let me tell you why I didn't say anything."
