The previous day was awesome. Should’ve expected today would be bad. Probably did, but I never imagined it would be THIS bad. OK, you’re probably wondering who I am. My name is Lili. I have dirty blond hair with highlights , light green eyes and glasses. I also have two siblings, one brother and one sister. My brother’s name is Carsten. He has light bleach blond hair and medium green eyes. My sister’s name is Ainsley. She has dirty blond hair and greenish grayish eyes. Now that we’re all introduced here, you’re probably wondering what was so bad. It’s worse than worse. But every kids p—actually, let me just start from the beginning. It started out like a normal Saturday morning, us kids getting up early to watch cartoons, play the Wii-U, stuff like that. Our parents usually get up later than us, so when they didn’t come down right away we didn’t worry too much. But when it neared 11:00, I started to get a little worried. So I went up in front of their door and knocked on it. “Mommy? Daddy? Can I come in?”. when I didn’t get a response and didn’t hear them showering, I walked in. our dog Townsend (town-send) was awake, but our parents were nowhere to be found. Townsend ran to me wagging his tail happily. “Hey buddy! Where’s Mommy and Daddy?” I asked. He, of course, said nothing. He squeezed past me and ran down stairs, greeting my siblings with the same happy tail wag (I could tell by the thumping on the wall). I looked around the room. The sheets were ruffled (obviously) but nothing else seemed to be disturbed. Then I looked closer on the floor. Were those, footprints? I kneeled down to examine them more closely. Yep, those were footprints all right. They didn’t look quite human though. They kind of looked like human feet but with tentacles on them. But, then again, what do I know? For all I knew they could be octopus prints. Once I checked everywhere upstairs, I ran back down. “Their gone!!!” I shrieked. “Who’s gone?” my sister asked. “Mommy and Daddy!!” “WHAT?!?!” “They wouldn’t just leave us, would they?” I asked. “I mean, we weren’t that bad.” “I don’t know.” She responded looking down. Then I remembered the footprints. “There were footprints in their room, they looked kind of tentacley.” I said. We went back up to their room and I showed her where the prints were. “That’s so creepy.” She said. “yeah.” I looked back at the footprints, and noticed that they lead out of the room. “Look at this.” Ainsley turned to look and when she saw them, her eyes widened. “We should follow them and see where they go.” She said. “Yeah, okay.” I replied. We followed them out of the room, down the stairs, through the hallway, and to the garage door. We looked at each other. “You think we should go in…?” She asked. “I think we should, but I’m taking this.” I said grabbing the old softball bat by the door. She opened the door, and we stepped through.
