When stressed, I pinch at chin-whiskers. This leads to 2 things... hair-splinters in my thumb, and in my first road trip as an adult, a bald spot in my beard.
Said road trip was headed south to dragon*con, and picking up a friend en route. And Katrina hit, so... I knew something was up when I got passed by a second military convoy. And napping in a car in a street of downed power lines because my buddy's flight was delayed and his housemates didn't know me from Adam...
And the gas shortage on the interstate. Yeah... that's a totally appropriate time for a nervous habit to run out of hairs to tug. ^^;
