I woke up when the dark brown-haired guy kissed me in my dream. I had my powers regained yet I felt heavy. I gasped for air. I can feel the heat over my whole body and my face… it seems to be blushing.
Laika was scanning through her papers with a serious countenance but when she noticed me awake, her face changed into a concerned one.
“Are you alright?” she asked.
“Y-yes… I guess.” I sat up as I answered.
“Really? You look quite red,” she stated and touched my forehead, probably checking my temperature. She was relieved when she felt it normal.
“Did you have an odd dream? You were quite still for a long time- like earlier this morning. Blaize was here earlier but left a few minutes ago.” Laika added. I’m happy my male friend stayed by me… and was happier because it’s him. I looked to my right, where Seiya should be lying but she’s not there.
“It’s quite odd, to be honest. Anyway, where’s Seiya?” I asked.
“Ah, she left with Blaize. I think she’s feeling good already.” Laika answered.
“Sounds good to hear. About my dream… it’s really embarrassing.” I tried covering my face, my face must be red again.
“Tell me about it. Even if it’s some sexual stuff, I’m all ears,” she said and put her papers on her lap.
“I don’t think it’s that sort. A guy covered in scales kissed me…twice. He then transformed into a dragon.” Laika was surprised with my answer. She was dumbfounded for a couple of seconds, I don’t know what to say.
“A creature-shifter, huh? Is he good-looking? Is he amiable? Must be your dream guy… well, actually, he is.” Laika commented. That pun seriously needs to be forgotten.
“He’s a serious fellow. It’s just a dream, not like he’s a real acquaintance of mine. Where can you find a guy crazy enough to stay in a deep pond?” I told her.
“If you’re reacting like that, you probably like him. Not like he actually exists in real life though. I’ll head off to meet the Council members, be careful on your way to the dorm.” Laika left. I stayed here for a little longer. My dream felt real. The guy’s lips were soft and to be honest, he is good-looking. I don’t like his wild nature though.
Walking towards the female dormitory hall, I was stopped by a sudden call of my name. It was the voice of a certain guy. I looked behind to see Xenos running.
“What do you want?” I asked.
“I just wanted to know if you’re already fine.” he answered as he wiped his sweat.
“Yeah, fine enough to be talking to you right now,” I told him.
“What happened, anyway? I didn’t expect to see you lying there alone while the other girls there are just looking at you with their disgusting faces.” Xenos commented.
“Ah, that wouldn’t happen if you went to our training. Seiya cussed you a lot earlier.” I replied. Seiya then appeared out of nowhere.
“You crappy brat!” Seiya yanked his right ear and pulled Xenos along with him.
“Odd pair...” I thought. Laika said she's with Blaize but she must have been looking for Xenos.
I went to my room to take a bath and change into better clothing. I may say wearing a light blue summer dress with this type of season seems kinda off but it is still comfortable. I mean, summer ended just a few days ago. This clothing may be a bit thinner for autumn clothing, I don’t really mind. I don’t feel like eating dinner either.
I was about to head up my bunker bed when I heard a knock on my window. Since this room is located near the academy’s agricultural yard, some of our acquaintances would knock for some small chit-chats. Though the yard may cause an awful smell sometimes we don’t have a problem with it. When I opened the curtain-covered window, sudden happiness touched my body. It was my male friend.
“Did you rest well, Idris?” Blaize asked with a hint of concern in his face.
“Quite enough. Want to come inside?” I invited. The window is big enough for a person to go through. Blaize shook his head and instead told me to grab a chair and chat with him for a bit. He leaned towards the side of the window.
“A question. Don’t you feel cold wearing that?” he asked while pointing at the dress I’m wearing.
“No.” I quickly replied. He looked at my eyes straight, making me feel a bit uncomfortable.
“If you’re going to the dining hall wearing only that, I’ll knock you off.” he threatened.
“I’m not planning to eat anyway. You don’t have to knock me off.” I said and he continued looking at me with a stern gaze.
“Well, I guess you should. You won’t regain the energy you lost earlier,” he suggested.
“Not like I won’t regain it from sleeping,” I told him bluntly.
“I don’t want you to get hungry, okay? I’m forcing you.”
“Fine. You being this worry wart makes me feel uncomfortable. You weren’t like this since earlier.”
“Maybe because I was afraid of losing you.” Blaize’s expression changed in an instant, his feelings may be evident yet I’m getting more uncomfortable about it. How would I respond to this?
“Just do what you want. If you’re heading out, make sure you’ll wear a jacket or something,” he added and messed his styled hair. He left with his right hand touching his nape. He’s sort of weird today. I wonder why he’s afraid of losing me. It’s not like I’ll leave this place. Maybe he meant he’s afraid of losing to me. Oh well.
I went to the dining hall without doing what Blaize advised. I received some stares from random people, I should have done what he told me to do. I saw Laika eating with Seiya so I went to the banquet table and grab a meal first. Upon reaching the destination, I felt as if someone tripped my foot. I’m glad I didn’t fall. When I looked from behind, it was Alfonse grabbing my skirt… and probably exposing my legs. I think my face was bright red right now. I quickly stand straight. Alfonse’s expression was serious. He’s not showing his usual cheeky personality. He’s currently glaring at the lady beside me.
“If you’re up to no good, make sure none of us is around,” Alfonse told the lady. Her facial expression tells me that she actually did it. She even left us. Good thing there aren’t many people here yet and it’s only the three of us who actually know the scene.
“Nice butt you have there,” Alfonse whispered. I don’t feel like thanking him because of this.
“Screw you,” I told him and grabbed a meal. He just stood here beside me. Why is he here, anyway?
“Your arse may be the one worth saving.” he commented.
“Could you please stop being a pervert? I’ll kick yours if you don’t stop.” I told him.
“Chill. I’m just messing with you. Besides, if I did try doing something bad to you, someone will be mad.” he said.
“Yeah, I’ll despise you.”
“You’re quite dense, huh?” he mumbled.
“What are you saying?” I asked him. He just shook his head and watched me do what I’m doing. I'm about to go to Laika and Seiya’s table to join them but they already finished eating and left already. Gosh, I don’t want to stay with this guy. I grabbed a seat where I could be alone for a while.
“That stupid Blaize told me to go here yet he’s not here at all,” I told myself as I started eating. I finished eating half of my meal, a lot of people come and go the hall when someone tapped me from behind.
“Didn’t I tell you to wear a jacket?” Blaize threw a white cardigan on my face. Good thing I eat neatly or it will be dirtied by the food I’m eating.
“What was that for?!” I asked him as I removed the cardigan off my face.
“Wear it,” he said. Why would I?
“Don’t be stubborn, sheesh,” he added. Blaize took a seat beside me while I wore the cardigan he handed. It was a perfect fit and it looks pretty new to me.
“Whose cardigan is this?” I asked him.
“You can have it.” he answered.
“Why? I mean, it’s yours. Why will you give it to me?”
“Oh come on, just keep it.”
“Don’t tell me you went out to buy it.”
“Of course not!” He insists so I smelled it.
“It smells new though.”
"It's a cardigan my mom sent me but it's too small for me. Just keep it." he glared at me.
“Okay...” Silence took over as I finished my meal. He didn’t bother to speak and just look at the opposite direction. Since it’s as if he has forgotten about me being here, I walked away silently. He didn’t notice me disappearing so I went towards the dormitory hall.
And then I heard a shout.
“Wait! Don’t ever leave me like that.” Blaize was mad. An angry frown was evident on his forehead. At this moment, I learned: Don’t make a calm guy angry, he’s definitely a monster.
“S-sorry..?”
“I thought you were abducted! I heard you were tripped earlier so they might have planned to do something bad to you,” he said, still having quite an expression.
“I’ll definitely prevent it myself.”
“At least walk with a person or two. We never know who among everyone in here thinks ill of you.”
“Yeah, big bro. You know? I want to strangle you sometimes but then quickly bring you back to life because you’re an important person to everyone.” I left him dumbfounded. I couldn’t help but be mad for his sudden silence earlier.
