"Yeah, But I don't know if it will be all that fun. I don't really get along with that many people at the office." She said looking down at her hands.
"What do you mean?"
"People just don't usually talk to me. The only reason they said happy birthday was because they felt obligated." She started to blush and she bit her lip.
I grabbed her hand in mine. Through out school she had always stayed to herself except when she was with me. I never realized how much she was upset. Maybe there is something I can do to help, I thought.
"I have an idea."
She looks up at me hopefully.
"I am going to give you a make-over!"
She rolled her eyes and laughed. "You are such a girl. How will that change how others feel about me?"
I kissed her on the cheek. "I want everyone else to see what I see. And that is an amazing, beautiful, successful woman capable of doing anything she puts her mind to."
She hugged me tightly. "Thank you..."
We said our goodbye's and I headed up to my apartment for the night.
