Three months later the boy walked into his class with his head down low and his hopes even lower. He walks to his seat in the front of the class 3 desks from the door.
"Bonjour les eleves." The French teacher walks into the classroom with happiness emanating from him.
The boy cannot tell if he should fall asleep or excuse himself to the bathroom and smoke a blunt. He feels like the weight of the world is squeezing both sides of his head until it explodes.
weed seems to be the only thing that helps him think; helps him not think about what he was...
That was the thing, he didn't know what he was. The goth kids loved to mess with him for "ripping off their style". He wasn't, He just REALLY loved to wear black.
He saw a seemingly slow motion flash of red hair that resembled the setting sun, it sent him into an almost trance like state. The images of that night 3 months ago flashed through is swirling mind. him falling to he seemingly death he saw the red hair and pale hand reaching out for his numb and cold fingers.
Nobody could imagine that once his body hit the cement that nothing would happen to him. He only blacked out for a few seconds and when he opened his eyes and saw that red hair he felt the warm arms carry him all the way home.
Once when he remembered his head hitting the pillow he was awoken from his memories by a light tapping on his left shoulder.
A look over showed that sunset red hair and a small smile from a very tall boy that looked like he knew everything yet nothing, his bold blue eyes showed wisdom and a long list of past lives yet, his smile gave off a naive and childish sense.
The bot felt like he could read every lifetime behind those eyes. The wars and bursts of peace throughout history; even every lover moving like water trough the centuries.
"Hi, I'm Aubrin. Do you think you could help me please?" The boy giggled at the weirdly fitting name, "Yes, I can help you." He maintained a small smile while telling him where all the classes were on his timetable. Oddly enough, they had all but one class together.
He felt like his heart was beating, really beating for the first time in a long time. When the bell finally rang he was given very strange looks be the people in the hallway. Even the teachers. Nobody had ever seen this dangerous and withdrawn boy smile. Not once.
