"Is he alright? When will he get up?" 

"... Soon" 

Blinking slowly I woke up trying to focus on the light above the ceiling. 

"Sooner than I thought." I heard a man say,  he had a deep voice, almost like my dad. 

"I am so sorry that I didn't tell you the truth earlier, I was afraid you'd be mad at him... " Cody, yes that was definitely Cody's voice but I thought he hated me.  He punched me directly in the stomach! Why is he here? 

"Well yes I would be mad but I would forgive him,  because I know he didn't mean to... " A female voice... Mom? Was that my mom? The female had that soothing soft voice,  like ever word she spoke was meant to be sung as a lullaby I was definitely sure that was my mom's voice. Finally u woke up. 

"M-mom I'm sorry. " Wait no why am I apologizing to her, I didn't do anything wrong, did I? Cody should be the one apologizing to me! He hit me for no valid reason! 

"C-Cody get a-aw... " I can't finish, but I want him out of here right now! He might hurt my mom like he hurt me! Don't hurt my mom,  don't touch my mom. Don't even speak to her!" The thought kept singing in my head, I was in agony knowing that I couldn't protect my mother if Cody was foolish enough to harm her. I fell asleep a few seconds later knowing I now hated Cody and didn't want anything to do with him nor anything to do with that house. I want to leave this place and go somewhere safe without Cody in my life!
