“Well, okay then, but first-” he started to say. Then his entire form shifted in an eerie sort of way. “DIE.” He said, then started rapidly shooting pellets at us.
“Stop!” I yelled.
He shook his head, as if he were exiting from a trance. “What happened?”
“You just tried to kill us!” Sarah screeched.
“I-I did?” Flowey said, confused. “I don't remember what just happened now. The hate is consuming me. I can't control it.”
Of course, at that moment, Toriel decided to come outside. “Frisk? Sarah? Why were you screaming? And why are you talking to a flower?” Recognition flittered across her face. “Frisk, my child, is that the flower that first attacked you when you started your journey?’
“No, nope, must have been a different talking flower.” I said, unconvincingly.
“Alright then. Who wants some snail pie?”
“I'm not hungry right now, Toriel.” Sarah said.
“Neither am I.” I replied.
“Ok then. It is time for bed anyway.”
~~~
“Frisk? Come out.” I looked around, and see a figure standing in the mist.
“Who’s there?” I asked nervously.
“You know who I am.” The voice said. “Let’s destroy this world together.”
“No.” I said, looking at the person. “I would never do that.”
The person started glowing. “Who said you were the one in charge!?” They screeched, and I was in a room with no light.
~~~
I awoke, gasping for breath. In my dream I didn't know who that was, but now that I was awake, I realized it was Chara. What was she doing in my dream? This had happened once before, when I first fell into the underground and slept in Toriel’s house. But I didn't know why Chara had followed me to the surface. There was nothing for her here. I looked over at Sarah. She seemed to be fine. I slowly got up and went outside to see if Flowey was back.
Sure enough, he was. “You’re back already? Did you really miss me that much?”
“No, not really. But we do have a major problem.” I said. “Chara’s back.”
“What? But how?”
“I don't know. She was in my dreams last night, telling me to erase this world. When I told her no, she screamed and said; ‘Who said you were the one in charge!?’ Then she disappeared.”
“Weird. I think we can get rid of her.”
“How!?” I exclaimed. I didn't want any more nightmares of a creepy demon girl that had been dead for hundreds of years.
“We’ll have to go back into the underground.” Flowey said.
His words went through me like a chill. “No way am I going back down there.” I said.
“Well, unless you want Chara haunting your dreams for the rest of your life, that’s the only way to go.”
“Fine.” I said. “But we’re not telling Toriel.”
“Probably for the best. Let's go.”
We were about to leave when we heard the door behind us open. “Frisk?” I heard Sarah’s voice say. “Where are you going?”
“Somewhere.” I said. “Don't follow us. I don't want you to get hurt.”
“We’re the same age!” She exclaimed. “I'm coming with. I want to stay with you.”
“Ugh, fine, I guess we have to take her too.” Flowey said grudgingly.
“Where do we have to go in the underground to stop Chara?” I said, ignoring his comment.
