"So do you like him like that? Is he everything you've ever dreamed of?" Savannah grilled.
"I don't know," Crimson confessed. "Whenever he asked me out, I was so happy. He was finally noticing me like I was noticing him. But... it just didn't feel like everything I really wanted. Not like I dreamed of, anyway."
Savannah seemed to smile a little brighter at her confession, but a sympathetic smile overtook her lips instead. "You know it's okay if you don't like him like that. You have to tell him before anything else happens with him. It'd be cruel of you to just leave him hanging like that."
"I don't wanna lead him on like that, and that's the issue. What if I like him like that, but then I lose the feelings for him and I'm left with the issue on how to tell him that I don't feel the flame that I once had for him? That I don't get that warm feeling whenever I see him?" Crimson questioned. She ran a hand through her hair, and dropped onto her back. The pillows and blankets that she set up on her bed bounced around.
A small TV that stood on her dresser softly spoke out the words the characters were saying on a random show. Crimson knew what would happen to them. She had no idea what would happen to herself.
"If you really feel like you really like Michael, then you'll take that chance. With how unsure you are about it, I'm going to suggest that you take things slow. Become friends with him first. Maybe rushing into a relationship that you're not so sure about would be the thing to ruin it," Sage suggested from a saucer chair that sat in front of her desk.
Savannah nodded, playing with the necklace clipped around her neck. "Sage is right. Friends is the first step to something more."
Slowly, Crimson bit her lip and nodded. "You guys are right. If I can't handle Michael as a friend, I definitely won't be able to as something more. Maybe slow is what I need."
Sage and Crimson both missed the words Savannah whispered under her breath in the quietest voice she could muster.
