It's hard to hide a dragon from a raging mob. As me and Tohor walked away from our burning home, we heard a ruckus occurring in the town, as we got closer to the town the noise became louder and louder until all that we can hear were the outrage from the villagers, we saw them gathered around the town square where the Knights of the United stood atop a platform waiting for someone of importance, "Deliver justice!", a villager with a pitchfork screamed, "Put their heads on a spike!", another villager screamed with sword in hand, "Seems like news here spreads quickly...", I acknowledged.
As I was about to leave for the nearest inn, the Grand Knight of the United, Ser Argis Vane, went up the the platform and began to speak, "Greeting people of Dun, I, Ser Argis Vane, speaker of the United, Grand Knight of the United, bring great sorrow for what had happened to a small family, I swear to all of you, that we, the Knights of the United, will find those that committed these atrocities to your town, I swear to you, that we will bring justice to these people!" Ser Argis ended his big speech and the villagers boomed with happiness, "Ser Argis!", a handful of villagers cheered.
Ser Argis began to go down the platform and the other knights followed closely behind him, "Ser Argis Vane, Grand Knight of the United... more like Grand Knight of the United Cunts." A stranger quipped, "Pardon?" I asked perplexed by the stranger's opinion of the Grand Knight, the stranger wore standard traveler armor, leather armor from chest to legs, fur shoes and a steel sword sheathed on his belt buckle, "Knights keep making promises that they can't keep just to keep their honor intact, they say they'll bring justice immediately, but what they truly mean is that they'll wait until their pockets are full of gold before they start acting." The stranger declared, full of confidence, "And what would you know about honor? You're just a traveler that does whatever peaks their interest." I queried to the stranger, "Aye, but at least I keep my promises." The stranger replied, "Listen kid, you really shouldn't be talking with a person like me, where's your parents?" The stranger asked, "Dead, burning with my siblings and my house." I replied as bluntly as possible, The stranger's face turned blank, as if surprised to hear my answer, "Well that's a problem... any idea who could've done such an act?" The stranger wondered, "It might have been that dragon yours." The stranger added, "No, Tohor would never hurt anybody..." I barked back at him, "Woah calm down there kid no need to get angry at a random traveler." He apologized, "Listen, people around here would do a lot to get that dragon of yours, so I suggest you let him fly out of here." He suggested, as if he knew what would happen, "Why would I even trust you? For all I know you might have an ambush set up for him outside of town." I mean for all I know, he might be one of the people that were behind my family's murder, "Well do what you want kid, I'm just a traveler giving you some advice." After he said that, he turned around and went inside a tavern. I though about what the stranger said, "Well he is right..." I said to myself, dragon parts are very valuable to merchants today.
As I finished thinking of a decision, I see that Ser Argis' band of Knights are marching on their horses, towards the forests of Dun. I call Tohor to get close to me, "Listen bud, you're gonna need to fly away for a bit, go back to our home, I'll meet you there one I find help." I mumbled sadly to him, I stood and watched as he flew towards where the smoke had been, where our home had been. I quickly removed the sad emotions in my head, so that I can focus on what I'm doing, and that is to find help. As I looked around from where I was standing, I saw that the streets were already empty, and so I turned to see the tavern, with a thunderous noise of people talking and singing, I had no other choice but to go inside the tavern and see if I can find some help.
