I think freemium games are a bit better than arcade games. At least you can spend time to play them instead of just spending money.

Freemium games are psychological explotation at its finest. Oh you paid for this? You should really be getting a full experience but for that you need to spend more money, come on, you already paid, pay a bit more to make it worth it. Arcade games were "Pay for one try". You paid money and that was what you got, like a theme park ride. Freemium is paying a lot more just to be pestered endlessly that you didn't spend enough money. I think it's far worse than arcades.
