“Gi! Gi!” She said excited now that she finished her song. Ignoring the man with his broken arm completely, just like most children do, knowing that she is actually disturbing Theo during work.
“Teach me?” She asked and Theo looked up at her pleading eyes, confused about what she wanted him to teach her.
“Teach me Aura Control!” The man looked shocked between Theo and the girl.
“Aura?" The man laughed and the girl's naivity! Not knowing why he was laughing Asha grinned from ear-to-ear; just happy to see someone laughing, "happily".
"Don't you know an Aura only devolpes in some, and there are less and less people who is able to awaken an Aura each year!" He barked, making Theo wish he could finally grab some of the people by their throats and give them a good talking to. Each time he heard snark remarks about eitehr cet, Tay or Asha he felt like a bomb about to go off! Couldn't this man be a bit kinder in telling a child these facts? But Theo knew better.
"Actually she has had an Aura since she was three months old." This was no joke, and had caught the rude patient off gaurd, as he choked down on his previous laughing fit.
"Y... You mean to tell me she’s a Druid, as yourself? At such a young age?” The man could not understand, of course he wouldn’t, none of the Elves spoke of the girl’s incredible Aura that the few of them sensed, and with the Humans believing that she was part Human they had accepted that the girl would not be able to use Magic as other most Halflings, such as they assumed Tay couldn’t either!
“Yes, a Druid...” Theo answered, cautiously.
“The Elves, though, my Elf maid…” The man was rattled.
“I was told Elves barely start learning how to take in Mana to start form their around six, that is if they're prodigies! And even then it takes time before their Aether is able to manifest intoand Aura, often only around the ages of 8! How?" He said flinching in pain, having shoved his weight around in exclamation.
“She’s living with four Healers, two of whom are Druids, another a Halfling; and not to mention an Elf for a mother, you think she wouldn’t have picked up how to form her Aura? You just now learned how quickly she picked up playing the Violin? And yet she didn't even need to learn how to, that's the most shocking isn't it, trust me even for me, but... ” Theo paused thinking of a word that would be fitting of who Asha is.
"Think of her as a miracle! Besides she wasn't born between just any Human and Elf! You forget, the man Cet married was a Gypsy!" Theo stated, feeding the man with information, so that he could make his own conclusions before turning to Asha.
“You realy want to learn?" theo asked, seeing Asha's exulted glee, he could easily forgive the man's rudeness just becasue of the girl's joyfulness.
"Very well, call Baron for me and then go put away your Violin. I'll meet you in the garden outside.” Theo said and hurried his notes to a finish, before a bear of a man entered the room, his eyes still glazed over from a sleepless night, having helped Tay with preparing various potions to stack up their diminished stock.
“Here you are, Baron, I already finished setting the arm and did first aid healing, you can finish up here. If you need help, ask either Tay or Cetcily.” Theo handed him the instructions, leaving Baron to his own demise. The man hastened out of the room to retrieve the potion, as listed on the instructions, from the room he had just came from.
Soaking the bandages in the blue aquatic potion he wrapped the man’s arm, the potion soothed the man’s slight pain that he could still feel after the numbing healing Aura of Theo.
As soon as he stepped out of the office he saw Asha running down the stairs to meet him on his way out to the garden.
“I can’t believe that man allows two Halflings to live with him, and an Elf! Disgusting!” The man retorted, thinking Baron, Human as he himself, would agree…
“Never insult the lady like that again!” Baron’s baritone voice bellowed in a whispering breath, as he purposefully twisted the man’s arm continuing to bandage it. The man hissed as a sharp pain tore through, causing him to whimper.
“Asha… She’s… The gentlest soul I’ve ever came across! You will learn to respect her, yet, someday...” Baron’s eyes flashed red before returning to their dull brown color. Thankful that the man didn’t notice the sudden change, Baron proceeded to finishing his given task and sending the man off as fast as possible.
“Master Theo requests to see you again in a week to change bandages and inspect the healing process.” Baron instructed him, before holding the door to allow the man to leave, not in the slightest hurry to ever see him again.
"You should learn to control you anger, Master" A little light flitted into the room.
"Thalia... Indeed, but I can't help myself. I thought requesting the elders at the institute in coming here I would learn more about how Humans are living with Elves, instead I came face to face with..."
"You shouldn't act so surprised, being one yourself."
