When Drake rode up in a red car, I don't know the brand but it was nice, I did a double take. How could a teenager afford such a car? Or a car in general? Drake's short dark brown hair looked nice under a blue fedora. He was wearing a light blue button up with a black vest over top and a pair of dark gray jeans. Drake honked the horn. I must have looked like I was in a trance or something.
"You coming or what?" Drake asked.
"Sssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuure." I said. Drake smiled.
"Well, come on in." Drake said.
"Okay." I said as I walked over to the car and opened the door.
"So, got any place in mind?" Drake asked.
"You don't?" I asked.
"I do..." Drake said, "But I'd rather go wherever you wanna go."
"Cool." I said, "So, how about Dridlings?"
"Okay, cool." Drake said, "Grab some burgers?"
"Yeah." I said.
"Cool." Drake said, "Very cool." We sat in the car in silence for what felt like forever.
"So, do you like yogurt?" I asked. Drake looked over at me.
"Yeah." Drake said.
"What kind?" I asked, "Greek or regular?"
"Regular." Drake said, "Mostly with peaches, sometimes blueberries. But I hate strawberry banana."
"Not a big banana fan?" I asked.
"You guessed it." Drake said, "Those things taste nasty."
"Wow." I said.
"We're here." Drake said as we pulled into the Dridlings parking lot. I quickly unbuckled myself and went to open the car door, but Drake moved his arm to keep me inside the car.
"What?" I asked.
"Don't tell anyone I hate bananas." Drake said.
"Okay, Drake." I said, "I won't tell."
"Cool." Drake said, "You're a cool girl." I stared at him for a second, not believing my ears, but then brushed it off, because he was probably joking.
"How many?" a girl at the place where you wait to be seated asked.
"Two." Drake said.
"Just two?" the girl asked. I looked at her name tag, which said 'Jessica' and thought about who I knew with that name. I couldn't think of anyone.
"Yes, just two." Drake said.
"Okay, follow me." 'Jessica' said as she showed us to our seats.
"I'll be your server for today." A tall skinny guy with orange hair said as he walked over, "My name is Matthew." I looked a little closer to the guys face when I heard his name. It was Matthew Richie, one of my old friends who stopped talking to me when I hit puberty at twelve. Sure, I don't have a deep voice and I've very short, but I was a whole lot shorter when I was a child.
"Okay." Drake said, paying Matthew no mind, "I'll have a coke and she'll have a water." He pointed to me, this time I think he was joking again, but it wasn't very nice.
"No." I said, "I'll have a lemonade."
"Okay." Matthew said, "Do you know what you want to eat?"
"Yes." I said, "I'll have the beefy big buns with cheese and ketchup."
"And I'll have the Biggest Cheeseburger with onion rings." Drake said. As soon as Matthew left Drake gave me a weird look. "Are you sure you're going to be able to eat all that?"
"I will." I said, "That's what I always get."
"On a date?" Drake asked, "With a guy like me? What am I to you, a walking ATM?"
"I can pay for it." I said, "Besides, this is my first day ever."
"Wow." Drake said, "I should've guessed."
"What?" I asked, "There's nothing wrong with it?"
"Okay." Drake said in an upset tone, "I'll pay for it, but you have to eat all of it."
"Okay..." I said, confused, "I can eat it all." Soon, the food came out and we ate in silence. Drake watched me as I finished my food and looked at me in awe, as if he never thought that I could actually finish the burger, but it was so good. The cheese of the burger was so melt-y and cheese-y, it was like heaven.
"I admire girls with big appetites." Drake said.
"What?" I asked, "I am not a girl."
"You are," Drake said, "So cool." Before I knew it, I was home and in bed. How I got there, I have no idea, but I was in heaven. Drake said that I was 'cool'.
