Before I knew it, Monday came around and when I got to school, it felt like something was different. I was feeling sick to my stomach, so I opted out of gym class first period.
"Nick." Mr. Boxaroni, my gym teacher, said, "Don't tell me... You're on your period again?" I frowned.
"No," I said, "I just don't want to throw up all over the floor or on someone."
"Oh." Mr. Boxaroni said, "Okay. Go sit with your classmates who don't feel like doing anything in class either. I'm sure you'll get along with them." I frowned and looked at the group of kids in skirts and/or jeans with wild hairstyles sitting on the bleachers. I mean, sure, it's cool to have colored hair, but I don't want to sit with them. They are 'cool' and I'm just some 'loser'. I'd hate to be made fun of again. I sighed and went to sit on the bleachers anyway.
"Did you hear about Drake Horner?" a girl with long pink hair asked. A few girls nodded and one guy laughed.
"What about him?" the guy who laughed asked.
"I heard that he has a new girlfriend." the pink haired girl said, I frowned, "Apparently they met at that party that Isabel Favaer hosted." My frown deepened, I thought that Drake was only dating me. I would totally slap a hoe.
"Didn't Drake send Brandon Elfling a pic of her?" another girl asked, "And then Brandon sent it to half the girls in the school trying to figure out who she was?"
"Yeah." the pink haired girl said, "It doesn't help that Drake never got her name, but she looks a little familiar. Almost like that kid over there with the rainbow sweatshirt." I looked around, there wasn't anyone wearing a rainbow sweatshirt.
"Hey, kid!" the guy shouted and waved in my direction, "You with the rainbow sweatshirt!" I looked down and noticed that I did, in fact, have a rainbow sweatshirt on. Well, that answers that. I slowly walked over.
"What?" I asked.
"Are you Drake's new girlfriend?" the girl with the pink hair asked.
"I'm a guy." I said. The group looked at me like they were really surprised.
"So, you're not." the guy said, "I wonder who she is."
