Ban walk into a cafe that Mi-ran had ask him to meet. He look around and saw that she was sitting at the corner of the cafe looking out at the busy street. Mi-ran stood up and wave at him while he walk towards her.

“Sorry I’m late.” said Ban.

“It’s alright. I have order you your coffee, a strong americano with extra shot right!” said Mi-ran trying to impress Ban by remembering what he use to drink.

“Right but it has been so long that I have drink cafe coffee. After you I kind of stick with the vending machine coffee at the station.” said Ban while he sip his coffee. Mi-ran felt he was hitting at her, telling that he was not impress that she remember anything about him.

“What the progress?” said Mi-ran.

“It’s not going as plan.”

“Did something happen?”

“Nana found something strange about the suicide scene, she said there was a messing chair. How did Soo-ah hang herself if she did not use anything to climb up and hang herself. So she found out that there was a CCTV that might have capture if she was not alone.”

“Did you see the footage? Who was with her that night?”

“Our team try to look for the footage but there was an interference so we can’t view it but she manage to get someone to check on the CCTV and that person manage to get a hold of the footage.” said Ban. Mi-ran did not expect that they wold find any lead that quickly.

“When she manage to get the footage, someone else stole it.”

‘What someone stole it? WHO!!!”

“We are still looking for him but now since we know that it was stolen then we know that there was someone or something going on in that school.”

“Right. Now we only need an evident to reopen the case.”

“She is trying to find more lead and if there is anything I contact you and update.” said Ban while he stood up and wanted to walk away but then he turn around and says,

“You will keep you promise about her reward once she manage to get evident right?”

“Yes I will. Why you don’t trust me?”

“Any officer would still not believe you! Remember this Mi-ran you can lie to me and deceive me but not her.” said Ban while walking out of the cafe.

After Ban had agree to take on the case, Seol had suggest that the only way to gather evident is to get someone from their side into the school. They try to search for someone who would be able to get into the school and gather as much information without getting caught. Then Seol suggested Yang Nana a convict killer was the ideal girl. At first Nana refuse to help as she hated the government and the police as they had wrongly accuse her of kill Kim Han Soo her middle school friend and it became worse when her mother pass away they would not allow her to visit her mother. Since they need her help Mi-ran make a deal with her, if she work with them and gather evident and they found out the truth about the students she will be release and her record will be clear, immediately agree with the deal. Mi-ran did not have faith that she will do a good job with it but since they are running out of time she can’t be picky.

Mi-ran look at her phone which was ringing, she immediately answer the call.

“How is it?”

“It’s going well, they manage to get lead.”

“Was it a murder?”

“It’s look like it but they still could not find any evident once they have a concrete evident we will open the case back.’

"I understand.”

“I’ll call you if we find it.” said Mi-ran while she disconnect the call.

Nana was laying down on her bed trying to get some sleep but she could fall a sleep not when she is trying to get another lead. She wake up from the bed and walk out of her room to drink water. Once she got the water she walk over to the living room window, open it and look out. She drink her water while looking down at the lonely street. She remember her mother and her walk up the street after they went to the market. She has been staying there forever and knew everyone in every store and stories of people staying there. Then she notice someone was standing at the lamp post opposite her window. She look closely and saw Chul Woo was standing there waving at her.

“Nana hello!!!” he shouted loudly. Immediately Nana told him to keep quite but he only smile at her. Nana immediately went down and out to get him.

“What are you doing here?” said Nana while he stop in front of him. From the look of him, he was drunk.

“How much did you drink?” said Nana. Chul Woo just smile at her but then his expression change from being happy to see her, he start to cry in front of her.

“Chul Woo what happen why are you crying?” said Nana concern that he came here and cry in front of her suddenly.

“I’m sorry…I’m really sorry!!!” he keep saying to her.

“What are you talking about? Huh….what your parents number I’ll call them!” said Nana. But Chul Woo did not stop apologizing to her.

“I promise I protect you!!! I promise!!” he said again while he place his hand at her shoulder before falling towards her. Nana look at Chul Woo who had fallen a sleep in her arm and just shake her head. What should she do now? She don’t even know who to call for help, she then decided to bring her up to her shop house.

Chul Woo slowly open his eyes and smile to himself. That was the greatest night sleep he even have. Right after Han Soo death he could never sleep well, he would have nightmare and would woke up in sweat but last night it was the best he had.

“Stop smiling… you look like a crazy person.” said Nana. Chul Woo look at the door and saw Nana was standing in her home clothes looking piss at him. He look around and saw that he was in her room on her bed. He then remember that he went drinking alone and drink himself to her place. He look at her and she says,

“You remember how you get here?” Chul Woo only smile at her, Nana shake her head and says,

“Wash up and have breakfast before you going back home. I put another towel in the bathroom and toothbrush use it.”

“Thank you.” said Chul Woo. Nana nod her head and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Right after washing himself, Chul Woo went back to Nana’s room to change his clothes that Nana had given to him. When he was changing he saw a photo of Nana and a lady who look like her mother. He look closely and smile at himself. She was way more happy back then compare to now.

“Breakfast is ready!!” said Nana from the living room.

“Coming.”said Chul Woo while he place the photo back to the table, but when he was about to place the frame down he saw another photo frame of her with some guy. He took the photo and saw Han Soo was in the photo with her.

“What are you doing?” said Nana when she walk in and saw Chul Woo was holding a picture of her and Han Soo. Chul Woo look at her and says,

“How do you know him?”

“Han Soo…Kim Han Soo he was my middle school best friend. You know him?”

“High school friends!” said Chul Woo.

“Ah…” said Nana as she does not know how to tell him about Han Soo death.

“Why don’t we have breakfast first.” said Nana as she turn around and walk to the living room. Chul Woo heart stop, last night he found out that she was the girl who fall for his crime and now he got to know that she knew who was Han Soo. He place the picture down and walk out to the living room where Nana had prepare breakfast for him.

He sat down on the floor opposite her, while Nana scope some rice for him. They start to have their breakfast in silence. They don’t know what to say to each other or how to make a conversation as both as their own secrets.

“I heard he pass away?” said Chul Woo.

“He did and I kill him!” said Nana. When Chul Woo heard that he almost choke himself and Nana straight away pour water for him. He drink the water and slowly calm himself down.

“That what the police said but that was not true I never kill him. He was the first guy who took my heart away, the first who hold my hand and announce to the whole school that I was his.” said Nana while looking down while playing with her food. Chul Woo look at her, somehow he felt jealous when she told him that Han Soo was her someone special.

“How do you know him?”

“Han Soo was the bad boy in his middle school, if you know him you should know that he always had the bad boy image. Most of the girls in school like him while he reject most of them. He and I never talk or know each other but one day a friend of mine got into trouble with some girl at school and they were beating her up at the behind the school. I got to know and run to her and save her. Since the girls belong to his group he was not happy that I defeat his girl gang and wanted revenge.”

“That so Han Soo.’ said Chul Woo remembering his best friends behavior.

“He walk into my class just a like he own it’s and walk to me. I sat there looking at him without any fear. He look at me at first did not believe that his girls got beaten up by me and laugh. He warn me and wanted to walk away when I told him that if he or his friends were to bully anyone in the school I would not stand down and do nothing. I walk over to him looking him in the eyes that I mean it and would do anything to help my friends. He said that he was impress with me and started to like me from there on.” said Nana while she look up smiling at Chul Woo.

“He started to follow me around the school trying to impress me after a long time then I accept him, that too after he save me from a falling flower pot. Once I accepted him, he announce to the whole school. He was crazy but he still make everyone happy.”

“True… but what happen after middle school?”

“His parents want him to go to a good high school he did not want too but I told him to go since his parents what him too. We did not meet for about a year then one day I meet him again. We meet a few times. Then I saw him walk into a old ware house and I follow him. When I enter I already saw him on the floor dead but suddenly someone from behind hit my head and I fainted. When I woke up the police was already there.” said Nana. Chul Woo notice her voice change.

“My mum try to find evident to prove to the police that I could not do it then one day while looking for answer she got hit by a car. She died on the spot and the police could not find the driver who hit her and the situation when crazy when I was not able visit her funeral. I was not able to be there for her. “ said Nana again as tear roll down from her eyes. Chul Woo look at her and felt so guilty for what happen to her. It’s his fault that she have lose her mother and was sent to prison for something that she did not do. What has he done? Chul Woo look away from her and try to calm himself. How can he explain to her what actually happen. It was his fault that she lose her mother.
