Eating Dinner with Drake's parents was actually kind of cool, except for the fact that Drake and his Mom didn't really get along, but I didn't say anything about it. Drake's Mom made some sort of chicken, green beans, mash potatoes with the best gravy I have ever tasted, and for a drink, there was Iced Tea, which I don't normally like, but it was good.
"So, how was school today, Drake?" Drake's Mom asked.
"Same old stuff." Drake said, "Just taught a little differently."
"What about you, Nicky?" Drake's Mom asked.
"I don't know... Average, I guess." I said, kind of panicking.
"Oh, okay." Drake's Mom said, "Norton, how was your day at work?" Drake's Mom looked at Drake's Dad a little pointedly.
"Just like every other day." Drake's Dad said.
"So, did you see the basket ball game against the Dogs?" Drake asked his dad.
"Yeah." Drake's Dad said, "It was interesting."
"What was your favorite part?" Drake asked.
"When Marshall made the first basket." I said, "That was pretty neat. If I was taller I would totally join the basket ball team." Drake's Mom glared at me and Drake and his Dad looked at me in surprise.
"Oh..." Drake and his Dad said in unison, "Cool."
"I'm really good at jumping for some reason, but I'll never be able to reach the basket." I said, "Being short sucks."
"I'd have to agree with Nicky for my favorite part." Drake's Dad said, "Marshall is pretty talented. What about you, Drake?"
"I liked that part too." Drake said, "See, isn't Nicky cool?"
"Yeah." Drake's Dad said, "I'm glad you found someone like her, she's perfect for you."
"She's awesome." Drake said as he wrapped an arm around me, "I really like you, Nicky." I smiled.
"I really like you too, Drake." I said. Drake smiled, a genuine smile, like he never smiled before.
"Do you need a ride home?" Drake's Mom asked. I frowned. Drake let go of me.
"I thought Drake was going to drop me off." I said, looking between Drake and his Mom.
"Yeah." Drake said, "I'll take him home. Don't worry about it."
"Do her parents know that she's here?" Drake's Mom asked. I nodded.
"I texted them." I said, "They know."
"Drake, you should bring her home before it gets to be too late." Drake's Mom said, "They must be worried about her." I rolled my eyes.
"My curfew isn't until ten and it isn't even seven." I said, "I think I'm fine."
"Honey, please-" Drake's Dad started.
"She has a curfew to keep." Drake's Mom said, "Take her home." Drake rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Okay, I'll take her home." Drake said as if he gave up, "And I'm taking Dad's car." Drake's Dad nodded, as if it was okay with him, but his mother looked at me angrily.
"You should just take your car." Drake's mother said, "I don't want you to wreck your father's car."
"Okay." Drake said, "Fine." Drake stood up and I did the same. He led me outside and wrapped his arm around me again. "Sorry, my Mom doesn't like it when I bring home girls."
"I think that's an understatement." I said.
"But you're the first girl I've brought home since middle school." Drake said.
"Nice to know." I said, "But I'm not a girl."
"Sure, you aren't." Drake laughed, "Why do you keep making that joke? It's going to stop being funny after a while."
"Okay." I said, "Do you want to see my dick?" I went to take my belt off. Drake stopped laughing and frowned.
"Okay, okay." Drake said, "I believe you. Please don't undress." What the heck is wrong with him? We got in the car and he dropped me off at my house, without saying a word.
