“Melodie! GET UP IT’S A TRAINING DAY!” Melodie’s eyes snapped open and sat up straight at those words. She saw a glimpse of black and purple disappearing from her room. Melodie grinned and got out of bed, dressing quickly. As she was about to grab her sword, she heard something at the door

“Hey Melodie?” Melodie turned her head to Molius. "Yea?” Molius looked at his shoes “Could I watch you and Sinon practice?” Melodie cocked her eyebrow, grabbing her sword, then turning fully around. "Of course you can, why do you look hesitant?”

Molius brought his head up to look Melodie in the eye. They stood there like that, before Molius spoke. "I-” Molius’s voice cracked and he looked away. "I don’t really know, but thanks.” He turned and walked out of Melodie’s room.

“Odd,” Melodie said to herself as she headed down to the kitchen.

“Hey Mel-”

Koi stopped mid sentence as Melodie grabbed an orange and ran out the door, soon following with Sinon and Molius, the two whispering furiously.

Koi chuckled as Loki came down stairs, groggy and pajama clad as usual. "He’s a lot like you ya know.” Koi said, sitting at the island and sipping her coffee.

Loki coked an eyebrow as he sat with his mug, which was filled to the brim with a coal black liquid. As he drank from it, he immediately perked up. "What do you mean?”

Koi smirked and took another sip of her caramel brown coffee, taking her time before answering. "Remember when your brother.. Ya know. And then there's how, even though you don’t like to admit it, you're a shy little potato!” Koi said, giggling as she ruffled Loki’s hair, flattening his ears.

Loki grumbled and turned as Ash came down the stairs. He looked around for a minute, looked into the living room and sighed. "Training day, right?” Koi nodded as Ash grabbed a bagel and sat beside Loki.

Melodie was walking ahead towards the clearing they use for training, Sinon and Molius trailing behind.

“Molius, why don’t you have a little faith in yourself?” Molius looked at the ground as his tail stopped wagging.

“When I was growing up, my parents praise my brother, his name was Atrian. They lived of everything he did, and pretended I didn’t exist. And then when I left, Atrian made me believe that I was a low life, I wasn’t worth it.”

Sinon’s eyebrows furrowed. "It’s not true ya know.” Molius looked at her, tears at the corner of his eyes and hope hidden deep into the gray-green pools.

They walked in comfortable silence. Sinon glanced at Molius, looked the other way, and slowly reached her wing behind him, and tapping him on the shoulder. She snapped her wing back into place as Molius looked to the empty space beside him.

Sinon laughed silently, not realising they had arrived and bumping into Melodie. "Watch out!” Melodie said, falling to the ground, bringing Sinon along.

Molius stared at the two, laughing silently at the situation. "Watch it, wolfy boy!” Sinon said, glaring at him. "I take offence to that.” Melodie said, pushing Sinon off her and standing.

Sinon pulled out her sword and flew around the clearing. "Show off.”” Melodie murmured as she pulled out her sword as well.

Melodie got into stance as Sinon paused and got into stance too.

“Your not gonna win so easily this time Melodie!” Sinon grinned. Molius sat at the edge of the clearing, observing silently.

Koi stood at the sink, hand washing dishes. "We have a dishwasher ya know.” Koi jumped, turning towards the voice to see Ash hanging from the ceiling fan. "I prefer it this way.” Koi said, turning back to the dishes.

Ash shrugged and hopped off, flying into the living room and hovering behind Loki, who was playing COD World at War on their Xbox. "What do you want, Ash?” Loki said, not turning away from the game.

“Awww cmon! How did you know I was there?” Loki sighed. "Intuition.” Ash groaned and flopped onto the couch beside him. "Got a second controller?” Loki shook his head. "Nope.”

Ash got up and went back into the kitchen. "Koiiiiii” He said laying on the ground at her feet. "Whaattttttt?” She said, scrubbing a piece of dirt off of a plate. "I’m boreeeddddd.” Koi laughed, almost dropping her plate.

“Go watch YouTube or something!” Ash glared at her. "I have for the past hour!!!” Koi turned to look at him, staring down at him. "A GT Live video is longer than that.” Ash made a face that resembled a child's when they didn’t get what they wanted.

Huffing, Ash went up to Melodie’s room. "Last resort.” He said to himself, pulling a random book from her bookcase.

Loki walked past Melodie’s room, stopped, and walked backwards to look in. "She’s gonna kill you.” Loki said, continuing on his way.

Ash shrugged.

Melodie was pushing Sinon back, taking a swing at her, pulling back slightly as to not hurt her. "Whyyyy” Sinon groaned as Melodie had the upper hand. "I’m training you!” Melodie insisted, aiming to knock the dragon off her feet, but the attack was blocked. "See! Your learning!” Melodie said. Sinon grumbled as she flew up, did a backflip, and landed behind Melodie.

She lunged at Melodie, getting a face full of dirt as Melodie jumped up. She turned and ran. Sinon hopped from tree to tree, lunging at Melodie and holding her against a tree at the end of the clearing.

Melodie ducked down and slid, going between Sinon’s feet, which were slightly off the ground. Melodie pulled herself up quickly and hopped into the branches of one of the lower trees. Sinon slowly stalked around the clearing, looking around.

When the moment was right, Melodie jumped down, tackling Sinon and holding her to the ground. "I believe I won again.” Melodie smirked, showing her sharp canines.

Sinon sighed as she got up, tossing Melodie water and an orange as he flew up to a branch and sat on it. Melodie sat at the base of the tree.

“Your welcome to a water and orange if you’d like.” Melodie said, nodding at the bag as she spoke to Molius, who was slightly frozen from shock of that match.

Melodie opened the door to their house, only to be tackled by Koi. "Got ya!” Koi said, a cat-like smirk painted on her face and her tail flicking back and forth.

“You were waiting for someone to open the door weren’t you?” Melodie said. "Yep!” Koi grinned like the Cheshire Cat.

Melodie walked into the kitchen after getting Koi off of her, only to be blasted with the smell of tacos.

“TACOS!!!!!!!” Sinon bursts into the kitchen, knocking over Melodie, Koi, and Molius.

Ash was in the kitchen frying some hamburger meat. Sinon stopped and watched for a minute. "You can cook?” Ash grinned. "I was bored, Koi gave me something to do.” Loki was sat at the island, smirking. "Hey Melodie!” Loki called her over.

“Yea?” Melodie said cautiously, noting the smirk. Loki whispered in Melodie’s ear. "I found out Sinon has a snack horde under her bed, don’t tell her I told you.” Melodie buckled over laughing. She stopped for a minute, her face straight.

“Nah no surprise there.”

Melodie smiled peacefully as she drifted into a dreamless sleep.
