The soft sound of rain could be heard for miles around. It had started to rain once more, but not full on storm.

Melodie sat at the island, a half-eaten sandwich in front of her. Next to her sat Molius. Melodie sighed, finishing her sandwich. "You ok?” Molius questioned.

“Fine.” Melodie said. She turned in her seat and hopped off the wrought iron stool. "I’m gonna check on Koi.” Molius nodded as she walked upstairs.

Koi was on the bed in her room. Her room was a salmon color, with gray carpet and a twin bed in the corner next to the door. On the opposite wall was a wall of windows, along with french doors that lead onto a balcony with a breathtaking view of forest. On the left side of the room was a set of folding doors, presumably leading to a closet. On the right side of the room hung a large off the ground bookcase. She was laying on her side, as to not hurt her damaged tail.

As Melodie opened the door, staying quiet, Koi sat up. "KOI!!” Melodie rushed to Koi and hugged her. Koi rubbed sleep from her eyes. "Oh hey Mel, what are you doing here?”

Koi asked, but then froze. She turned slowly, twisting her torso to look at her tail. "My- my tail.” She said, expressionless. "I found you like that in the woods, it seemed you were stuck by lightning. Your lucky to be alive!”

“Thanks Melodie.” Koi hugged her friend. Sighing, she twisted, taking her feet from the bed to the carpet. "Take it easy!” Melodie said. Koi shakily got up, but dropped back on the bed. "Here.” Melodie lifted Koi up and slung one of the Felan’s arm over her own.

“Let's get you something to eat.” Together, they slowly made their way down the stairs. As they reached the ground level, Sinon raced up to the two. "KOI!!!!” Koi smiled “Hey Sin” “Koi?” Koi turned to look up to see Loki. He looked more sleep deprived than usual, and he had tear stains on his cheeks.

“I thought-” He closed his mouth and ran down the stairs, embracing Koi.

“I’m still alive ya know!” Koi joked. "Yea, but you scarred me!” Loki looked down at Koi and spoke in a childish voice. "You scarred all of us.” Molius said, joining everyone at the bottom of the stairs.

“I’m sorry!” Koi said. "If someone will help me, I can make everyone some homemade chocolate, werewolf safe of course.” Melodie jumped up and down. "I'll help!!” Everyone smiled. "Ash walked over from playing the Xbox. "Did someone say chocolate-- Oh hey Koi.” Everyone laughed.

Melodie licked chocolate off her fingers as she layed on the couch. "Wanna play a game?” Loki said, holding up Call of Duty Black Ops 3. "Heck yea!” Melodie said up and pushed in the game, while Loki grabbed the controllers.

“Yes!!” Melodie said jumping up as she reached a checkpoint. "It’s just a checkpoint.” Loki said, unimpressed. "Says the guy who died 7 times before getting to it!” Loki was not impressed.

“We need music to play to.” Melodie said, a determined dog-like expression on her face. All of the sudden, the screen turned black. "What?!” Melodie turned her head to see Koi standing there, holding the tv remote. "Koiii!!” Koi shook her head. "You guys have been playing for over an hour!”

Melodie huffed. "Melodie, why don't you and Loki go train?” Melodie cocked her head. "But I train with Sinon!” Koi smirked. "Train with Loki. It's a new challenge.” Melodie sighed and grabbed her sword. "Let’s go Loki!” She ran outside. Loki looked at Koi and shook his head, grabbing his dagger and following after the werewolf.

Melodie walked into the house after training, sweat covered and wide eyed. Not changing her expression, she sat at the island and stared into space. Koi looked at her and laughed. Loki walked into the house, completely sweat free, and the same bored look on his face.

“You didn't beat her too bad did you Loki?” Loki sighed. "I didn't even try.” Melodie huffed and went up to the bathroom to shower. Koi looked at Loki as he tapped his claw-like nails on the island. "Well?” Loki looked at her. "She's holding back subconsciously. She should have beat me without breaking a sweat.”

Koi nodded. "Or maybe she just is afraid to use her full powers.
