The dark fortress loomed above two girls.

“Well, here we are.” Koi said, awestruck. “Yep.” Melodie said, in equal amazement. Melodie grabbed Koi’s hand, making Koi turn pink, and took off towards the fortress. “Let’s go!” Melodie let go of Koi’s hand as the got up close. “She’all most likely be in the dungeon, which is underground.” Melodie said. Koi nodded. “First things first, we need to take out those guards.” Koi said, lowering her voice. Melodie looked at the gate and realized for the first time that there were two men at the entrance. One was a werewolf with blood red eyes, ears, and tail. He had pale skin and dark chocolate hair. The other was a dracin, with completely midnight wings. His eyes were completely white, and his hair was also coal in color. His skin was ivory, and both of them wore matte ink armor.

Melodie nodded and turned back to Koi. “I say, we sneak up behind them and knock them out with our weapons. That way, there's not a lot of commotion.” Koi nodded. “Kinda dumb to not be wearing helmets.” Melodie smirked. “Just makes it easier. Let’s go. I’ll take the dracin, you get the werewolf.” Koi nodded and snuck off to the opposite side of the entrance.

Melodie snuck around the back, treading lightly on the grass, which turned yellow the closer she got to the fortress. As soon as she was behind the guard, she hit him upside the head with the flat of her blade, knocking him out cold. At the same time, Koi knocked out the other one with her axe. They hid the in the bushes and tied them down in case they came to.

Melodie nodded her head at the open entrance and Koi nodded. The snuck in to see a courtyard. It was all cobblestone with a circle of dying grass and tree inside. Koi had noticed an open door with stairs leading down. There were no guards at the door, so carefully, the two friends went down the stairs. As they reached the bottom, the hid in the shadows and peered into the small space.

Everything was stone, and small cells lined the walls. From what they could see, there were only three prisoners. A guard stood at each occupied cell. Melodie charged in and slit the throat of one, letting them fall to the ground. The other two, being surprised, jumped into a fighting stance. Melodie ducked down low and swung at one of the guards feet. He fell the the ground and Melodie took her chance and knocked him out.

Koi took her battle axe and hit the last guard with it, shattering his head and making him fall. “MELODIE!! KOI!!!” A felan stood in the cell nearest to the door. She had army hair and cobalt eyes, ears, and tail. She wore a tattered black shirt and navy skinny jeans, she wore a pair of dirt Uggs. Her skin was bruised and dirty, and her hair was greasy. She was extremely thin. “RIVER!” Melodie and Koi ran up the the cell. River pointed towards one of the guards. From his belt hung a set of three keys. Melodie grabbed them and tried one of the keys. It failed, but when they tried the next one, the cell door creaked open.

A scream could be heard. Sinon threw they video game controller down. “CHEATER!” Sinon plopped back onto the couch grumpily while Molius sat there laughing.

“Excuse me,” a voice could be heard from the cell at the end of the room. The three friends went over to see a girl on her knees. She was pale, with flowing navy hair. She looked very fragile, almost as if she would turn to dust at the slightest touch. Her navy eyes were dull, like the life was vacuumed out of her. Her wings were feathered with light blue and navy. They were spread out on the ground beside her, and they were ruffled and dirty. She wore a tattered white dress and had no shoes. She raised her head took look at them.

“Can you please free me and my brother?” Melodie looked behind her to see a boy in the cell across from the bluenette. He had dark chocolate skin, white hair and lilac eyes. He had white and lilac feathering and wore a plain white t-shirt and pants. While he did not look fragile, he was still very thin.

“Of course!” Melodie handed Koi one of the remaining keys and they freed the siblings. “Thank you so much!” The girl said, slowly getting to her feet and pulling up her wings. “I'm Astellar, but you can call me Stell. And my brother is Castillious, just call him Cas.”

Melodie smiled. “I’m Melodie, this is River, and this is Koi.” The werewolf said, gesturing to her friends. “So how did you end up in here?” Koi said. “The thing is, we don't know. The only thing we know for sure is out names and that we're siblings. We can't remember anything else.” Cas said, his voice almost a whisper. Melodie nodded. “Well, you can come with us if you'd like!” Stella and Cas smiled softly. “Thank you.” Stella said.

Sinon was ranting about the game she and Molius were playing when the door slowly opened. She sped to the door to see Melodie, Koi, River, and two unfamiliar people. “Dang it Melodie. Stop bringing strangers would ya?” Melodie laughed. “This is Cas, and this is Stell.”
