It was later in the day from when the alcoholic noble got to meet his other crewmates, now it was coming to dusk and the main deck was clear of nearly all souls, most gone underdeck for the night. Underdeck was a lively, it was dark and cold but still full of life, from the living quarters bustling with life, from the tip tap dancing of crew enjoying some time off deck to the laughing and yelling of the catine the smell of food and potent alcohol piercing the wooden walls of the ship, sometimes small skabbards, little creatures like rats rush from one floor of the underdeck. Deeper into the bowels of the floating beast was the clinic, a surprisingly large room hidden in the back of the ship.
The door was old and in need of repair, nearly hanging off the hinges but on the inside it was a clear and carefully place, two large beds in either corner of the room and a large oak desk in the center on a table nearby was chemicals, medicines poisonous golar, beside all of these were tools that looked fit for a torturer more so than a doctor. Them dyed a deep red from the amount of use they have clearly gotten but inside of this room was two of the main crew members, Osin was sat on the bed, it sinked in a bit under the minotaurs mass, he was out of his armour and had his shirt off, the darker skinned chest toned but scared and, branded with a strange symbol on his stomach. It seemed to be forced on to Osin him silent as he looked down and sighed his head felt fuzzy, his vision was clouded and going a tint of red, this was his primal curse being a half minotaur had its advantages, being tall and strong, intimidating, but one of the many curses was his body had to release all the tension and lust it had for blood and this would send him into a frenzy made him jumps and this was clear, as when he heard the door close and he shot up turning to it he heard a gentle laugh, soft and caringly sweet,
“Osin, It's just me calm down, I don't need your horns putting a hole in my ceiling again” Gal stood there, she had a mask and gloves on the dark elf putting something down on her desk as she sighed and walked up, Osin as jumpy as he was felt, comfortable around her, like he could relax and with a gentle push, like a small childs against his chest made him sit unable to resist as he looked down at her. “...How bad is it this time ?” he let out a gentle sigh and he knew from the look on her face she understood and then with a quick slash he felt the blood running down his arm, her holding the small dagger the tip soaked in blood, and then in her other hand was the glass vial from before, her pouring it slowly into his wound, and with every grunt, groan and gentle whimper the giant man let out, she felt guilt, and worry it clear on her face as she was close to tearing up for having to do this to her friend,
“I am sorry, I am sorry,” Gal kept mumbling the fact that if she didn't, he would go mad and hurt the people he thought of as friends but it didn't make the pain she had to cause to him any easier, her now wiping the wound gently as she looked up at him, his face was a mess of emotions, anger, pain. Guilt ? and with this she hugged herself into his chest and she was silent, smiling gently as she felt his arms wrap around her, massive log like arms but as gentle as a mother to a newborn kitten and as she relaxed in she mumbled a promise, one she has been making for years, “One day..I will be able to fix this, I promise.” she looked up into his eyes, the eyes of a broken man full of hope and with that she felt herself drawn in but thrown so far away and just as she was about to move closer Osin looked away and stood as he smiled and ruffled her hair a it and walked out bringing his shirt with him,Gal sighed as she looked at her hands, well gloved hands soaked lightly in drops of blood her taking a seat on one of the beds before she lied back and closed her eyes thinking to herself, her mind racing with memories of the days of old and how she got to meet the large figure,
She was still under her father's wishes, she was sent to study medicine and the sciences with a old friend of her father's in Katain City, her father's friend was a dwarf with a unhealthy obsession with dissection, she was working on the small clinic that he ran barely more equipped than she had on the ship when she heard the sound of metal against wood scraping the dwarf had brought in another “Subject” for his tests and that's when she got to informally meet Osin, trapped behind a cage barely decent, the large figure. He looked nearly fully human but was strangely large and had horns sticking out of his skulls like some sort of demon, his body was soaked in scars, bruises and burns and clearly marked on his stomach, branded into his skin was the mark of the Dwarven Poaches that helped the Dr with his need for subjects, hunting and capturing subjects of any race the Dr was willing to pay for.
The others she didn't feel much pity for, them criminals and feral creatures that didn't seem to have any concern for the being of anyone but them selfs but Osin felt different to her all the Dr said that he was a freak who had committed crimes and she didn't dare question more than that. Maybe it was the look he had in his eyes, not one of violence but one of fear, she heard Osin scream so much in the next few days, he was the one who survived the longest under the Drs cruel methods and the next time she saw him he was different, that faint look of fear in his eyes was gone and replacing it was something emptier than the void, the only issue is that when she was able to see him this time, she was under the knife of the crazed dwarf, her fathered had informed her that she was moving to another clinic one more equipped for her needs of training, the Dr didn't take well to this and came to the conclusion “He's never seen the inside of a dark elf before”
She thought it was the end until she heard the a loud crashing sound and the doctor had left the room, standing over her was the creature that had been trapped in the cage, Osin him silent as he looked at her with cold eyes but he gripped her restraints and ripped them right off as he turned and started walking out like a patron at a bar who had too much to drink, him stumbling and holding his wounds, rather taking her chances with the large figure then the mad doctor she followed him like a lost puppy and in many ways she felt like she was, she learned a lot traveling with Osin. She learned to survive in the wild, to fight, and what loved felt like, even if she thought it was one sided,
The Sound of the Door to her clinic slamming open woke her and her brother stood there smirking like a Oni in a defenseless village, as he rolled his eyes, “Wakey Wakey Doc, Captains touching us down in Katain City, you need to make sure Osin doesn't go hunting a midget”
